I purchased and received this device in Dec 2023 and have used it at least 5 times since, probes measure both ambient and meat internal temperatures on each probe, great for monitoring oven, smoker or bbq ambient temperatures and the same time meat temperatures. Range hasn't been an issue for the blue tooth signaling, the magnetic base of the booster unit is a neat feature for securing the booster unit, just have to keep it away from the heat.I have read with some of these blue tooth units the signal doesn't work very well when the probe is in a BBQ, smoker or oven, this hasn't been an issue with this unit that I have experienced and while I haven't tried to see how far the booster broadcasts the instructions claim 500' of unobstructed distance.Using this device has shown me just how inefficient my oven is as it relates to maintaining temperature, no wonder I had some much trouble getting doneness right when using a standard meat probe, having to pull out the roast and measure then return to the oven, makes a bad situation even worse when dealing with consistent oven temperatures (every time you open that oven door the temp drops dramatically). The blue tooth connectivity eliminates the need to open that door, lid to the smoker or BBQ.This device and the software app for the phone is amazing, its hard to get the desired finished cook temperature wrong!Alarms are easily set up for low and high ambient temps and the unit alarms when the desired adjustable thru the app internal meat temperature is reached. The software allows the ability to record both the ambient and internal temperatures on a graph showing the curve giving the ability to predict finish times.Now the best part.Yesterday (04-02-2024) I attempted for the first time to use both probes (white and black) and the white probe would not register temperature readings to the booster unit. I attempted to reconnect via blue tooth following the instructions, no go, not sure what is wrong with it.BUTI contacted ThermoPro via their chat app and described what I was experiencing, sent the original order number and a photograph of the unit, talked to representative "Corey" on the app and he apologized for the inconvenience and verified my shipping address and sent a replacement unit.That was yesterday and I received it via UPS today, not that is customer service!Thanks Corey and ThermoPro for not just putting out such a great product but also supporting that product!Sincerly,Mark

I should have read the reviews before making this purchase. It seems by the reviews, there are mixed feelings about this product. I read a review that explains my issues to the T, dropped connection on the black probe, incorrect battery display ( base says 100% and when inserted into meat drops to 50%. I had a 12 to 14 hour cook in progress and had to rely on just the white probe which would only last 4 hours on a full charge. I did conntact customer service at the manufacturer and they did respond within 3 hours of my email. I followed all their steps they sugested including resetting the booster and re-pairing the probes.This did not help, in fact, the problems got worse. Now the white probe will not stay connected. I emailed them back and explain this and I sugested maybe the base is defective? I have not recieved a reply. I will give this until tomorrow to get completely corrected or I will be sending this back to Amazon for a full refund. I could have made least trips to the smoker to check the meat by using my old handheld, manual thermomter LOL.It's a shame to pay this price for a device as wonky as this. I expect a device to work flawlessly for this kind of money. I have no doubt that i will receive a full refund, Amazon is good about this type of thing. My best advice if you are going to purchase this product, be sure to have a backup thermomter on hand, do not rely on this product until you see if you got a good unit or a wonky unit.Also, after fully charging the unit & probes again, the probes work flawlessly while off the charger and sitting in cups of warm water. The base reads them as it should with no issuses. Insert into meal and place in heated oven and the issues begin all over. I am thinking there are deffects in the probes when exposed to heat? I don't know, I'm not expert by any means, I only know what the thing is doing when I use it. Like I stated, Ill be waiting until tomorrow for Thermopro to correct this problem. After tomrrow, it goes back for a refund and I'll move on to more reliable products, handheld manual thermometor.

Felt I need to update this review. The original device had an issue but the company contacted me and sent me a free replacement probe. All I really wanted was to be able to purchase a replacement but they quickly sent a replacement and everything has been working flawlessly since. I am upgrading this review to 5 stars. I always try to be honest with my reviews, and sometimes a seller is combative and tries to blame me... This seller is outstanding and bent over backwards to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I can say I am very happy now. Thanks.The first month this was a FIVE star product. The second month this was a 4 star product. This is the third month and it is barely a two star product. I ordered the two probe TempSpike and it seemed to be awesome... Then the second month the battery would completely drain when it wasn't used and it would take 24 hours to charge when previously it would charge overnight. Now on the third month the white probe will not connect to the booster/charger. The first time it happened I was eventually able to connect it after removing and reinserting at least 30 times. It then stopped showing the temp and charged. Today, it will not connect, so it won't charge. Randomly it will act like it is connected when not fully inserted and then it will start showing the temp again and not charge. The black probe is fine, I put in on the booster/charger, it stops displaying the temp and starts charging. It is fine. The white probe will not. And yes I did try putting the white probe in both slots; with and without the black probe inserted. It has stopped working completely in just 90 days.

Me emocioné mucho al recibir el producto pero... Desde un inicio el producto presento una falla. La sonda negra en la base indicaba pila al 100%, pero al retirarla de la base en la app indicaba pila al 50% y en la base marcaba 2 rayitas y esa carga no duraba mas de 1hr. La sonda blanca funcionó perfectamente. La segunda ocasión que quise utilizar el producto, al inicio la sonda blanca se conecto bien, pero a los minutos se desconecto y dejó de funcionar. La sonda negra se descargaba rápidamente. Regresé el producto y solicité la devolución.

One probe stopped working , called them , told them my problem and they said that I would get a replacement in 2-5 days… Thermo pro is the way to go ! Good accuracy,Nice easy app to control, AWESOME PRODUCT

Die Inbetriebnahme ist unkompliziert, da die Fühler bereits mit dem Booster gekoppelt sind und die Bluetooth-Verbindung zum Smartphone automatisch hergestellt wird. Die Fühler sind zwar etwas dicker, was der integrierten Elektronik geschuldet ist, reagieren jedoch ausreichend schnell für den praktischen Einsatz. Die App ist relativ einfach gehalten, aber funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Bluetooth Reichweite von der Station ist relativ gut, solange nicht zu viele Wände dazwischen liegen. Ich benutzte die Thermometer oft im Backofen für Braten das funktioniert selbst im Bräter sehr gut.

Dopo molti utilizzi posso dire che il Prodotto che mi sta soddisfando totalmente. Solido, preciso, semplice da usare. L'applicazione consente un controllo totale. Facile da pulire. Lo ricomprerei subito.

Finally cooked a roast; turkey for Christmas dinner. It was cooked just right!I selected turkey from the list it suggested 1°C less than the BBC good food guide, the alarm went off 74° but I left it until the display showed 75°.Tomorrow I'm cooking a leg of lamb, the preset temp was higher than I wanted but it was easy to edit the preset ranges, so it's now set to the temp I want.It's really good to know the temp whilst still in the oven, rather than taking it out and having to put it back or finding it's over done.
