The digital part is just a counter. Nothing else.I chose this model specifically for the higher weight resistance. Unfortunately, there is no way to know what the weight resistance is set at. You can tighten it and loosen it but there is no way to know exactly what you are at. I have tightened it a good. It though, so hopefully that means I was right to go with this model verses some of the lower weight ones.Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to. And it's a good workout. I don't feel like it's going to break from normal use. Most of these run in similar price range so I guess it's a decent value. It doesn't hurt my thighs where the pads sit and it's easy to use and adjust.

This seems like it may work as intended to, however, it is not entirely comfortable. I tried it out briefly when it arrived. I could feel resistance as intended, The tension is adjustable as well as the positining of the leg pad. Still, it was not comfortable. After using it, I dis notice multiple dark bruises on my legs in the spots the leg pads sit. I plan to try it again once bruises dissipates. I will most likely return if it happens again.

It’s extremely painful to the thighs even if I put towels in between I can’t believe they didn’t fix this. And you don’t get resistance throughout the full range of motion until you turn it up all the way which makes no sense cuz then it’s hard to do any reps at all.

Short version - I would recommend. There are a few items of note below though.Liked -Gives good resistanceEasy workoutCan work inner and outer with accompanying bandThe little counter display is nice.Dislike -There is no flex to the thigh pads, so there is a point where it gets a little uncomfortable when you push them in. Not enough to stop me from working out. Debated dropping a star for this and decided against it. If your thighs are sensitive or you struggle with motivation and may use this as a scapegoat to not workout... get a different one.The instructions to put it together aren't the clearest. It took me a bit to figure out if the more pointed part of the thigh pad should be away from the center machine or toward it. (Its away) And if you got that wrong, I would think it would cause a lot more inner thigh discomfort. The accompanying band doesn't give me a lot of resistance. I have to give it a twist so its half its size and wrapped 2x to get something that works my outer legs.

I recently had a health issue that led to a loss of a lot of muscle. I'm not ready to go back to the gym yet, so I thought I'd try a few pieces of home equipment. This Thigh Master is okay. It's a bit difficult to position properly, but once you do, it's easy to use. The resistance is good for someone recovering from an illness or injury, but won't be for anyone who is already in shape. The plastic is holding up for now, but it's fairly thin, and I worry it will give out with too much use.

This does not fit my thighs if used per instruction and/or the video. I does work for me if positioned in opposite direction. The pads are stationary in one position with no ability to adjust them. Also, why a counter? You cannot read when using except when on my thigh and use it upside down. The pads would be more comfortable if it had more padding foam than 1/4" thick. The straps are horrible to the touch.Positive: the band is good and could take when traveling.Check out the orginal Thigh Master by Suzanne Somers as far better. Easy to use with no need for straps.
