I have bought many of these type products it's not the wire you need to concern yourself it's the clasp and they break this 1 the clasp is about a " long where is most of them are like 1â„4" this looks like it should last for a while

Great length and the clasp are perfect. But it’s no match for my 98 pound pit bull. It last us a few months before we need to replace.

I have no clue how much my dog weighs but she’s a pitbull mixed with a lab, medium sized, and she’s a bit chunky (my mom can’t help but give her treats). I got the 25ft one and so far it’s held up quite nicely. My dog is very reactive so when she see’s people she’ll book it and once she reaches the end of the leash and it kind of jerks her back it hasn’t popped like leashes in the past (this review is several months after I bought this to see how it’s held up since then). It doesn’t get knotted up and it hasn’t rusted due to the weather (I keep it outside however it doesn’t get wet because it stays on the porch). The only thing is that the twisty part that closes it can come undone so I suggest you make sure you’ve twisted it tightly so if you leave your dog outside for a few hours you’ll be confident that they won’t get loose (my dad used a wrench to twist it on tight) but other than that it’s pretty great.

This cable only lasts 1 year this is the second 1 I bought and both almost 1 year to the day! Then Snape! Your dog is loose! Had to tie in a knot until I ordered a different 1!

Previous cables used to keep our 25 lbs. Irish Terrier out in the yard during the day damaged very easily when they became tangled around a tree, a fence or basketball pole. This one does not damage so easily despite the dogs' best efforts. Thank you.
