I was so use to using my framing square that sometimes the pieces I was cutting got caught in the blade, but using this product made a job well done, I would definitely recommend purchasing one

Every so often I end up doing a tile job, (unfortunately), but it is what it is. Flooring is really no big deal, but when it comes to a bathroom or kitchen wall its inevitable that your going to need to cut a couple strips of schluter to finish the edge or worse yet join on a corner. Yeah theres a bunch of different ways to cut schluter and on a straight edge you can kind of get away with the cut not being perfect, but when your doing a corner you really need it to be spot on with no burs or sharp edges. Thats where this edge trim tool comes in and helps you make that perfect corner. The schluter fits perfectly in the precut slots so you can hold it at the right dimensional angle to create the perfect 90* angle and vertical line. If you hold the schluter a little off you will not have the right vertical in that corner. You have no clue how many times I've cut and recut a corner to get the vertical to line up properly, with this its a one and one! There is also a little tile cutting trick that I use to create a perfect corner, where you don't move the blade after the first cut but instead you flip the tile, (or in this case the schluter & jig), over to create the other 45. For those that are putting this jig so close to the blade that your cutting it you need to slide the jig back a little bit and just cut on the mark on the piece you're cutting. A jig should NEVER come in contact with the blade. If you are using this as a miter cutting jig again you can destroy the true edge and destroy this tool, for that you would want a metal speed-square and use a hand saw, (if you don't have a powered chop/miter saw). The key to having any project turn out properly is to use the right tool for the job, and this jig is the right tool to cut tile trim, (schluter), properly.

The title says it all. I have struggled to cut tile trim without this tool. I have used thin snips and other contraptions on my wet saw in order to cut tile trim and it would always either fray the end or it would split and fold it rendering it useless. With this I am able to get perfect 45-degree cuts in order to get the corners to line up.

This is a really handy little tool for making perfect 45° miter cuts. It's very nicely molded from sturdy quality plastic. As described in the listing, it has various grooves and channels to securely hold the work piece while making the cut. That makes it particularly well suited for cutting molding, thin trim and thin metal profiles, but it works fine for larger flat pieces as well. Even if your saw has an angle adjustment, and even if the saw is properly adjusted to made a perfect 45° cut (mine is often just a hair off), it's often easier keep the saw adjusted at the normal 90° and just use this jig to make the 45°cuts, especially if you have just a few 45° cuts to make or if you are continually switching between 90° and 45° cuts. The tool seems a little pricey for a piece of plastic, but it's a really nicely designed and executed piece of plastic and it's worth the money if you use it regularly.

I had to cut some trim, and it was a huge pain without having a miter saw. This tool has allowed me to accurately, and safely, perform miter cuts on the trim with the my regular circular saw. If using a circular saw, you will need to clamp everything in place since you need to use your hands to guide the saw. I'd imagine that a chop or table saw would be even easier to use.

This tool is well made from quality plastic material. It is durable and rugged. The tool assures perfect 45 degree cuts with a saw. This is the tool to use when you don't have access to a miter saw. It is easy and quick to use. The resultant angle cuts are precise and fit together without issues. The item is as described by the seller. I am very pleased with this item and believe you will be as well. Therefore, Dr. T. highly recommends this product!!
