  • This kit includes 17 pieces of precut self-adhesive foam seals that are suitable for both hard and soft tops
  • Easy to install. Each piece has a strong adhesive backing. Scrape the old foam off and use alcohol wipes to remove the adhesive residue. It will only take 1 hour to replace all foam seals!

How and Where to Use This Foam Blocker Seal Kit?

First, you need to check the accuracy of the installation of the previous seal. One reason a foam seal may fail is because it’s not in the right position. Take note of the position of the old seals or take a picture of them before removing them.

Next, gently scrape off the old foam patch. Be mindful of thepaint so only use paint-safe adhesive remover or alcohol wipes. Ensure that the surface is dry, free from dirt/dust, and grease before installing the foam pads.

But where to use these foam pieces? Use this list as a guide:

  • 4 pieces of corner patch (two right and two left) use on the front and rear outboard corners on both right and left freedom panel top
  • 3 pieces 30mm x 75mm x 3 mm rectangle seals for the rear inboard corner (left and right panels) interface
  • 1 piece 30mm x 75mm x 2mm rectangle seal used on the flame tip of front molded detail section of the center seal
  • 2 pieces 20mm x 95 mm x 5mm rectangle seals used on the rear outboard corner (left and right panels) to hardtop seal
  • 2 pieces 30mm x 95mm x 3mm rectangle seals for the front outboard corner (left and right panels) to header seal
  • 2 pieces 9mm x 100mm x 6.35mm thin foam strips used on the left and right panels of the front outboard corner to header seal
  • 1 piece 13mm (outer diameter) x 8mm (inner diameter) x 160mm windshield header seal round stuffer for placing inside windshield header seal bulb

I actually bought two of these kits. I used them on my soft tip 4 door. A lot of the instructions online are for the hard top but it helped me replace the foam I needed to. Helped a bit with the leaks but as anyone looking at this problem knows, leaks with Jeep roofs are a PITA. 5 stars just for the price and quality as it’s just like OEM. No instructions so look up online if you need a guide on where to install it. I bought a second set and some same density/type foam and used the second set as a template to make my own foam for the future as it’s inevitable these will also wear down

Got the kit and I hope and pray it cures my rain water leaks on my 2012 wrangler sport. No instructions therefore I will go to youtube university for instructions. Package was all it was billed to be.

Love it! This package contains various single-sided sticky foam for areas of the jeep that need a little more water protection. The price is very fair for what you get.

Great product, fixed the leak on my freedom panels, very good quality and worth the money, not hard to apply but definitely wished it came with instructions

No instructions but plenty of videos on YouTube, I’m now just waiting for rainy days to see if it worked

I got these hoping that it could fix the leak in my jeep and prevent water from coming in. There might as well be nothing there because it doesn't work. This is a waste of money and the material is flimsy at best.

I had a significant leak in my Jeep JK. I found it was coming in around the Freedom Tops and the foam seals were pretty much completely gone. There are no installation instructions but, if you Google the YouTube video as the package insert says, you will find a very helpful step by step video.

I order three different brands on Amazon and this kit was best quality. Adhesive backing and foam quality. People complain about instructions. You don’t get that with oem so why would you expect otherwise. This is a dealer manual just like repairing any car situation. I gave 5 stars for price, quality, and a more detail than most on specifications.
