Works as advertised. After flooding from Hurricane Helene, most everything in my home had to be discarded. The demo people put everything by the street, but it took a while for the city to pick it all up. Drywall, furniture, etc. disintegrated either from weather, or from scavengers. There ware a lot of little metal items left in the grass, as well as screws and nails. I used this to roll the driveway and grass by the street and it worked great! it was easy to put together, and had good magnet strength to pick up all the nails and screws.

I had a siding company coming to side my house. I said "Should I get this magnet thing? Is it worth 20 dollars?" well 5 days.. they cleaned up. my wife cleaned up.. then I ran my magnet over every inch of the driveway and of the 5 days. This picture is what I got daily for 5 days. It works and it works really wellSure the wheel fell off once. I put it back on and it was fine.but did this pick up nails? Sure did.. did it pick up things that had been there for a LONG time in addition to the nails from construction. It SURE did. Considering it is probably 20 dollars or more to get a tire plugged. This is a no brainer. It works. picks up small ones. PIcks up big nails picks up anyhing magnetic too. When you CATCH something you hear a loud click. I pick the tool up and put whatever in my pocket then continue. It is worth every penny. In a way I wonder if I shouldnt have bought the 70 dollar one that is like 30 times stronger. This worked great. Pulled up a TON of stuff I dont want in my tires of my cars.

Just had our roof redone and I wanted to try to make sure we didn’t get pesky nails in our tires. This worked great. You do need to put on the wheels but not difficult at all and screw on the handle and go… the handle is slightly wobbly but didn’t keep the product from being effective. We found a handful of nails in our plant beds and driveway. This did a great job and was inexpensive. We won’t be using this too much so didn’t see the point in buying an expensive $60.00 product. This did its job and I could justify paying $20 for something I won’t be using all that much.

get what you pay for. Item very flimsy but does work if you go slow, and in short grass or pavement.

I bought it because my husband burned a brush pile that contained a couple wooden pallets, not thinking about the nails that would be left. Got flat tires on our lawn tractor the first time we cut afterward! Ordered this magnet and ran it through the ashes and the surrounding area, and it was amazing how many nails it picked up. Used it again after Hurricane Helene sent a river through the lower half of my front yard to pick up metal debris that was left behind. I love the telescoping handle, but it is a little difficult to keep tight and in place while using. Minor drawback for the time and money it saves!

I recently had my roof replaced. A friend recommended I get a magnetic sweeper because the roofing company would not do a great job cleaning up the nails. I opted for this one versus a much more expensive one. It got the job done. It picked up nails and nail barbs on the driveway, in the lawn and plant beds. The size was good because I was able to get under the bushes along the side of the house. The telescoping handle does not tighten into place. It collapses if you push the sweeper. I also had issues with the handle bending at the place where it inserted into the magnet when I pushed it and a wheel got caught on something. Solution is to pull it.

This rolling magnet is so useful we bought two! I got the first one after we pulled some nails out of our tires. It's been pulling up all kinds of old metal as we live on a farm. For the cost of one tire plug, it's a great step in preventing flats in the future. Yes the handle is a bit floppy, but we fixed that by pulling it behind us, rather than pushing it in front. Get one, your tires will thank you.

I had major renovation of my house's roof (replaced wooden structure, including most rafters, then new plywood sheathing and shingles), and you can bet that nails and some screws and staples were flying everywhere during demolition and reconstruction. The contractor send a flunky around a few times each day with a more industrial magnetic pickup sweeper, but I kept spotting errant nails and such laying here and there and wanted to avoid a trip to the emergency room for a wound clean-out procedure and tetanus shot. So I went looking for a 'occasional use' magnetic sweeper for my very own, and selected this Toolwiz model TMS31117.Some facts and observations:- The useful width of this product is NOT 17", as the magnetic part is roughly 14" wide; the extra 3" is from the two wheels, which are not magnetic or otherwise useful for pickup. So, not very wide, but OK for occasional use.- The overall height from the ground to tip of RETRACTED handle is about 18".- The overall height from the ground to tip of FULLY EXTENDED handle is about 39".- Some other reviewers complained that the wheels would not turn freely unless they loosened the wheel bolts somewhat. I did not find this to be the case on my example; the wheels are held on by shoulder bolts which are perhaps 1/8" longer than the wheels (and their washers) are wide, and they cannot be threaded in too far, so the wheels cannot help but turn freely.- Some other reviewers have complained that the telescoping handle will not stay extended during use. In my own experience, this is true, but only if the user has not put their 'thinking cap' on. Yes, the handle is much like a thick telescoping radio antenna, and stays at the current length by friction only, so if rolled (by pushing the handle) over rough terrain, the handle can start un-telescoping. The solution to this, for example if the product is being rolled over a grassy lawn, is to PULL the product behind you instead of PUSHING it as one would a lawnmower. On my lawn, I just walked a pattern back and forth, trailing the product along slightly behind me, much as with a dog in "heel".- Metallic objects jump up (they must have some iron in them in order to be attracted by the magnetic base of the product...it will NOT pick up aluminum, brass, copper, etc) and stick to the magnetic base, and each makes a clicking noise when doing so; I would stop and collect the objects after I had heard a dozen or so clicks, just to prevent the grass from dislodging objects that might then fall back onto the ground. I carried a small plastic bag into which I would deposit objects that I harvested from the magnetic base from time to time.- This product is NOT heavy, and is easy to push or pull, and floats lightly over grass even if the wheels might not always touch the ground.- Tools needed for assembly; a pair of pliers to tighten the base of the handle where it threads into the magnetic base, and an adjustable wrench to tighten the wheel bolts

The magnet picked up over 100 nails, bolts and nuts. I had already gone over the area with a flat magnet. I pushed this item around a large house under construction. Rough terrain and all. It is small which was better for me. Lots of obstacles to navigate it through. Great value for the money.

Works well, good strong magnet. The main issue it that the handle doesn't stay extended when pushing on grass. It can be pulled in stead but it would be handy if there was a away to keep the handle extended when pushing...but works fine pushing or pulling on cement or gravel.

Wish I had bought one years ago! Tyres for our family cars are in the region of £150 each, this is in the region of £30. Within seconds of doing my first pass in front of the garage I heard a "click" as it picked something up.Feels sturdy and well made and was very simple to put together.

This is a simple tool but it works, my only complaint is that the extending handle does not lock into place and collapses when you push on it with any force. The answer is to drag the tool instead of pushing it.
