The first percolator I tried so I can not compare it to others, but I do like the coffee it makes, though the filters it came with worry me a bit, and I would have much rather preferred a proper washable/reusable finer metal/mesh filter of some sort to go with the rest of the non-disposable design. The metal parts themselves feel pretty solid, but the hinges have a lot of wobble to them and do need to be aligned into place, which makes me worry about the thing's longevity. The finish is also not the easiest to clean, despite the claims.Overall I like the idea of a simple and sturdy basic coffee percolator, and this thing seems to get about 90% of the way there... only time will tell if the remaining 10% is a deal breaker or not. Will update the review if the hinge breaks or it fails in some other way in a year or so, but from it's performance so far I will give it a cautiously optimistic 4*.

Nice percolator. With the glass knob, it’s got a good weight to it, too—not like some more flimsy aluminum pots. The only problem is that the knob didn’t go in straight, but that doesn’t affect the functionality at all.
Looks good, works good...and came with some starter filters! Happy with this one!

I just received this percolator and am impressed by its design & build quality. The glass top-knob came carefully packaged in closed cell foam and threads perfectly into place in the lid. The lid has a thumb-lever that allows the hand that is holding the handle to also open the lid easily with your thumb. It comes with a zip-lock bag of 15 REUSABLE filter discs (3.75" dia.) that set inside of the grounds basket (single use paper filter discs can be found here on Amazon for 2¢ ea. or less). The percolator weighs in at 1 lb. 10 oz. (760g), stands about 7.5" tall x ~4-7/8" in dia., and about 8-1/4" from handle to spout. The type of finish is not mentioned, but I'm pretty sure it's some sort of powder coat that is very uniform and well done. The handle is made from wooden scales that are painted black & riveted in place. The handle, hinge and spout are all spot welded into place, and the spout is sealed from leaking using some sort of clear resin(?), as can be seen in the photo. As with any new item, you will want to thoroughly wash the manufacturing dust & oil prior to first use.Overall I like this percolator and appreciate the build quality, timeless design and simplicity... highly recommended!

I love percolator coffee while camping, just something about it that's better than instant and easier than pour-over. This perc is easy to use, easy to clean and makes great coffee! It's a little on the small side, only 9 cups, but that's plenty to serve the two adults in our usual group with waste (and we can always make another pot if necessary). Glad to have this nicely constructed percolator in my camp kitchen.
