The hood support rod was not like the one that came with my 2001 Toyota Solara. It wasn't as long, and the cheap plastic tip on the base broke off almost immediately. And I have to wonder why this "original" part had globs of excess black paint hanging off of it. There's a 24-hour turnaround required by the dealership that sent it, so I didn't even bother to return it. Not worth the hassle.

Exactly what I needed. Only issue is it was shipped via USPS...with expected results.I would give USPS zero stars. Inaccurate tracking and took three weeks to show up.

I guess this is an OEM part but unfortunately it didn’t fit my Matrix and the website didn’t tell me that.
