These striker bolts did the trick, and are great replacements for the originals on my 1991 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat. The doors close and latch without having to slam them shut. Quieter too!

Worked great! Just make sure to put some tape around the old ones before you remove. That way, they will line up the same way. Also, the nut that these screw into will likely fall down behind the door body. You will likely have to unscrew and pull back the plastic trim inside the car far enough to get yours hands back there.
