First Impressions of WASAGUN Ultralight Camping Sleeping Pad with Pillow Built-in Foot Pump SlateIn the past, I’ve never had strongly positive experiences with air mattresses or pads - therefore this product had an uphill battle during my testing. With that being said, I was WOWED. This mattress was the most comfortable air mattress I can remember. The quilted design really cushions the ground better than I expected. At the asking price, I am giving a 5-star rating - great pillow, egg crate quilt action, affordable price, ultra compact. Read on for details.The first thing I noticed was how lightweight the kit was. The mattress itself rolls up very small. A patch kit is included for small punctures. The fact that the mattress is so thin and that a patch kit is included does make me worry about how rough the ground can be before this mattress experiences a puncture.This product is fairly simple and easy to figure out. This mattress has a built-in foot pump. Open the valve, and just step on the pump area - releasing your foot to allow the pump to billow or breathe between pump strokes. The mattress inflates incredibly fast - took me a minute and half to inflate. The built-in pillow is excellent - even sleeping on my side, I felt like the pillow offered significant support (though i needed a little more height due to my broad shoulders)The mattress at first looked like a flat mattress. After inflation, there are quilts that form and create pockets of pressurized air. These pockets acted like an egg crate almost and did an impressive job of supporting my body as I laid on it even when sleeping on my side. All the heavy and major contact points, such as my hips, back, shoulder, and head were firmly supported and I never felt the ground while fully across the pad. I am a 6 foot plus height, and 250 lbs male. With that said, if I was getting off the pad, the pad would compress and then I would bottom out to the ground.Putting away the mattress was nearly as quick as inflating the mattress. The air is easily squeezed out during the rolling process. Fold the mattress in half and roll the mattress flat, then after when all the air is emptied, roll the mattress in thirds to fit very compactly into the included bag. I think this is the most compact air mattress I’ve seen yet.Overall, I like this mattress a lot. As a Vine Reviewer, I do get to try many different products and there are a few other air mattresses I think I like better than this one. However, that does not diminish the fact that this is a great air mattress. I can tell you that I prefer THIS ONE over a ton of other portable sleeping pads I’ve used in the past.Since this is an initial review, if I discover a star-changing experience, I will update this review. But for now, I am thoroughly impressed with this mattress and give it 5-stars - ultra lightweight, compact, ultra comfortable, and affordable.

This Wasagun Inflatable sleeping pad is relatively compact and lightweight when packed, but I would not call it ultralight. My scale has it at 2Lbs. There are other sleeping pads on the market that are a bit lighter, but they typically do not include a built-in foot pump, or a pillow. So, I guess that is the trade-off. If you’re backpacking and need the lightest sleeping pad, this isn’t it. For my purposes it is plenty light enough.Functionally, it is very comfortable. It easily supports my 220 Lbs without sagging to the ground. I find it much more comfortable than a full sized air mattress. As for that previously mentioned foot pump. I find it to be a bit slow and awkward, but it does work. I’m not sure it’s much easier than just blowing it up. I used a battery powered pump and had it inflated in less than a minute.It comes with 3 2-inch square patches for field repairs. Another nice feature is that it has buttons on both sides, allowing you to connect multiples together.Overall, it is a solid sleeping pad that performs very well. I could do without the gimmicky foot pump, but it’s not a deal breaker. Overall I am very happy with it.

This WASAGUN Ultralight Camping Sleeping Pad with Pillow Built-in Foot Pump is easy to inflate and deflate, plus it is easy to get back into the bag it comes with. To inflate this mattress you open the hole at the pump end. The pump part is about 8 inches wide by 5 inches high with a hole in the middle that sucks air in as you step on the pump area then off again. I found the easiest way was to put my feet together and rock back and forth on my heels. It inflated in about 2 minutes or so. You could use one foot to step up and down, it will probably take longer though. Once you are done inflating you put the screw back over the hole. The air stays in pretty good so far. To deflate you undo a plug near the foot section of the mattress and it deflates pretty quickly. I found if you fold the sides in and roll it up from the head section you can get all the air out before you put the cap back on it. Once it is rolled back up it is easy to insert back into the bag it comes in. It is light weight, less than 5 pounds. It feels better than laying on the ground.

I enjoy this mattress a lot. It's easy to pack, unpack, repack, inflate and use... It holds air throughout the night just fine too. There is really nothing wrong with this mattress, but do expect that the thickness will affect your sleep if you're sleeping on the ground outside. Often you won't clear every rock and/or twig, so with this mattress you will find them. If you're a side sleeper, your hip or shoulder will ever so slightly touch the ground and if there's debris underneath you, you'll know it.Aside from the thickness, there is no issues with this. I still enjoy it very much, I just am more careful how I place it and where I place it. If you use this mattress in conjunction with a cot, you will get some really great (and affordable... and comfortable) results for your hiking/camping adventures.I also use this for my children's sleep overs when we have too many guests. We haven't had any complaints, but we do add additional padding in the form of folded blankets.
