The latch was easy to install and works very well. A good buy.

My latch wouldn't open and kept blowing a fuse. I found a useful tip on line to make sure if it was the latch by unplugging the latch connection, replacing a fuse and pressing the trunk button to see if it blows and it didn't, meaning it was definitley the latch itself. Gm model latch is about $150.00. Quick youtube video showed how was it was to remove and replace. Found this listing and decided to gamble the $20. Well worth it. Took a little bit of time to prep for removal but once I did, I gave my son the task in replacing it.This does not come with a new emergency trunk release lever and the old one was easily reused and re attached to the new latch. Everything works great.

Perfect OEM Trunk Actuator And Easy Replacement. Totally Plug n Play. Took About 30 Minutes To Remove And Replace Old Part.Immediate Results. The latch works great, keeping the trunk closed. The problem is when you try to open the trunk, you have to hit the button 20-30 times for the actuator to release. I hope to get a replacement or a refund.

The trunk latch came in on time, went on easy, worked great. It too less than a hour to change it.

The solenoid was easy to install, however, the emergency trunk release handle inside the trunk could not be attached. Caution..Don't get locked in the trunk.

2015 Malibu. Appears to be of a decent quality. Lacks instructions so no 5 star. Installation is quite easy. Does not come with the emergency pull handle and cable, but it's easy to remove that actuator from the old latch. Just slide the flat face panels to the right on both units (pry over to the right from the left using a slotted screwdriver), pull the small cable guide tube out of the body, twist the cable termination to the right to remove it from the actuator slot. Repeat in reverse on the new. And be sure to adjust your trunk stops out as to allow the lid to "pop" when you press open.

Product is new in appearance but works less then 40% of the time. Not a good substitute for an OEM product.
