Feature

  • "270-324 µF" in a motor run capacitor spec means it has a capacitance range of 270 to 324 microfarads (µF), determining its ability to store electrical energy. This range should match the motor's requirements for optimal operation.

  • Start capacitors give a large capacitance value necessary for a motor to start for a very short period of time (usually seconds long). A start capacitor can never be used as a run capacitor because it cannot handle current continuously.

  • There might be several reasons for this such as: Incorrect installation, faulty motor, capacitor compatibility or other electrical issues. If the issue persists, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help.

  • No. The voltage rating of a capacitor indicates the maximum voltage that it can handle safely. If you put a 110-120 capacitor where a 220V is required, it may start the motor a couple of times but will fail very soon.

  • Capacitors are typically not designed for repair and are considered disposable components. We recommend you to replace by a new one.

No issues in ordering. Updated part that replaced requested. No hassle. Will use again. Used these capacitors on an Ingersoll Rand compressor for start up.

I bought a vehicle lift with one capacitor that was water damaged. I figured I would replace both capacitors as a precaution. The lift worked for a couple months, then started blowing fuses. I realized one of the capacitors was incredibly hot. I reinstalled the old undamaged capacitor and was back in business. These were the same size and rating as the original, but apparently not the same quality.

notably smaller than the originals that were in my quincy air compressor but tested correct and matching and got me running. the originals were 30 years old so we will see how these hold up.
