This 9V / 2A power adapter is exactly what my Schwinn 231 Recumbent Exercise Bike needed to power up. The 6-foot long cable ends with a 5.5 x 2.1mm plug that fit perfectly. The bike's digital display works just as before I lost the original power adapter. (It is disappointing to find so many other power adapters on Amazon claiming to work but either didn't specify their voltage / current or claimed that 12 volts was correct. It is not.) 9 volts / 2 amps is the correct power output rating. Kudos to this supplier who clearly stated the power rating and sent a product that looked exactly like what was in the photos.

The adapter cord that came with my Recumbent Exercise Bike shorted out at where the cord attaches directly to the adapter plug because the outer cord insulation peeled back exposing the breaking the wire. This new power cord has a stronger attachment at that point and should not do the same thing. The plug is working perfectly and I recommend it because it is a far better design than the original equipment.
