(R&R) tool, remove and replace tool for easy off and on oil filter changes. The 1/2" adapter works well for tight oil filters that need the extra leverage to loosen the filter as well tightening. However it is also a 3/8" tool for working in tight hard to reach filters and need smaller tools to work with. I would recommend this universal tool because of it"s range of sizes to fit different types of vehicles.

If you have a stubborn oil filter, look no further. This gripped a filter that was put on by a quick lube oil change place with an impact wrench and allowed me to put a pipe on the breaker bar and crack it free. I really think this is the only device that could have gotten my filter off considering it's location in teh engine compartment.You might need to get a hand on the fingers to keep them in place until it gets a grip.
