We purchased these shakers to save money on sugar consumption. They will be very handy to help do that. Thank you for the availability of this vintage product. We appreciate you keeping them available for us to purchase.

I have been looking for one of these. Much easier to get the right amount of sugar. Heavy duty.

These are very basic and work fine. The flapper that covers the hole is a little flimsy and the hole is a little small but they are fine. To break up sugar clumps I put a few sugar cubes in the jar to break up the clumps when they form.

I love the retro style of this sugar jar - just like the ones we've all grown up with. My first thought when I received this item was that the stainless steel flapper lid seemed a little flimsy and doesn't always open like it should, but not big deal. Then, this morning, the weather is very humid today and the sugar had sort of settled and solidified in the jar. I held the jar perfectly upright so that the bottom of the jar would make full contact with the counter and tapped it down just they way I can remember doing when needed a million times before with other jars over the years, but this jar shattered when I did this. If you're ok with treating this fragile item very carefully then go ahead and buy it, I guess. Just make sure you wear your shoes when you use it, otherwise you might find yourself standing barefoot at the kitchen counter with broken glass all around your feet like I did.

Bought this for client coffee use. Removed the need for spoons. Easier clean up. Good quality.

I love the vintage look of these and that they weren't made of plastic. Purchased back in August 2019, reviewing after just over a year of use.In all I really wanted to love these, but in the end I can't. The lids are a problem - the threads don't seat properly, or easily. I just had to throw one away because it became cross threaded and now the lid is so stuck there's no way to remove it. Tried soaking, several people tried brute force etc. Just not happening. We've been extremely careful (or so we thought) when putting the lids back on because I knew from the start that this could be an issue.I wanted glass due to sustainability and ease of cleaning, but it looks like I'll be replacing these with something that has less potential for becoming useless.
