Great replacement for a broken one i had burn out on me mid afternoon. Had it swapped when it came in the next day without much effort. Beats buying a new heater. Feels durable and functions as expected but we shall see how long it lasts. Good fit and value for the price.

Pilot light was going out and every plumber said I needed a new water heater. My water heater is 9 years old but still, I flushed it and not one bit of rust or anything weird came out so it just seemed to be in too perfect of condition to be bad with such good water here in Memphis. No plumber ever mentioned this but somehow I got wind that this could be it, and it was,! $30 and 15 minutes saved me $1,000. Videos on how to do on youtube. Very simple. Been working fine for 4 months now. I expect I'll get several more years out of this water heater now, but if not, I'll let you know.

Not much to say that's not already in the headline. As long as you have the model that's made for your heater, it's going to be a perfect fit.Be sure to hit the reset button before trying to light the pilot for the first time. It might keep a few dollars out of the swear jar.

This product comes as an assembly which makes it easy to install. Water heater started right up after installation. No adjustments necessary. Came close to buying a new water heater until I learned that replacing the pilot assembly is usually the fix.

I replaced my sons assembly on approximately 8-23 and the new on failed on 9/14. Ironically this part didn't fix the problem and I had to replace the entire burner controller. Luckily I hadn't pitched the old thermopile and was able to put it back in and all was good. I learned some troubleshooting steps along the way that may help others. You can test a thermopile with a volt meter. They should generate at least 500mV DC when heat is applied. Had I have known this before, I would have known this part was not my issue. This one only produced 70-80 mV after it failed.
