If you have an R170 SLK, you have likely encountered (or will encounter) the dreaded orange notification on your dash indicating you have a light out. When this would happen in my case, I would take the tail light access panel off and reach in and wiggle the light. This would work a little while. But in short order, the dashlight would return to orange. I then replaced all the light bulbs in an effort to fix the situation. That didn't work, either. So, I happened to find a find a thread on an SLK website, which indicated the fix requires replacing the old socket. Hence, the above order. And it worked! The bulb fits snuggly and takes a little effort to force into the socket. At first I thought I thought it was the wrong part, but it wasn't. Thumbs up to URO Parts and their product!

Tried many things to solve the intermittent rear brake light issues for my 2010 ML350 including replacing with different brand of bulbs and sanding away the rusting contact piece on the metal, but all were in vain. The problem solved completed after replacing with this bulb socket. Amazed with the ROI of this solution and regretted all the times/efforts spent on youtube and trying those suggestions. AM thinking about stocking on this thing for the future.
