URO makes some half ass water pumps and other generic gear for the Mercedes. They managed to hit the mark with this part. It came in a sealed bag to keep the dust out on it's overseas journey. Take a 2.5mm hex head bit without the driver and use the pressure from your index finger and thumb alone to remove the retaining bolt from the painted plastic part (not included). At this point the screw is removed and you want to make sure to CAPTURE THE TINY O RING on the screw. I thought that the unit would come off at this point but you will have years of car wax and road grime that worked it's way into the base seal. Wiggle the unit side to side and front to back a little. Remember the antenna is fragile so try not to force it. I wiggled mine for a few seconds and it finally gave way. Pull up and back towards the hatch or trunk and clean the stain left on the pain from the original base seal. My seal looked good at a glance but under bright light I noticed that the Al Gore plastic was starting to crack as well. Clean the bottom rim and antenna hole from the antenna cover. Discard the old antenna cover and base. Push base of the antenna cover thru the painted side of the opening on the antenna cover. You will fold it slightly as it pushed into the unit. The lower seal is tapered out so follow the pattern your old seal had. You will have to hold the base seal in place as you gently place the cover back on making sure that the antenna is inserted into the cover. When you are done with this and it is lined up, USE ONLY YOUR INDEX FINGER AND THUMB WITH THE HEX BIT TO TIGHTEN THE COVER ONTO THE VEHICLE. Feels like about 10 lbs of pressure. Don't strip it or you will be stuck buying the 150.00 dollar unit from Mercedes. The only way to get the OEM seals. I'm an OEM junkie but buying a whole kit for something that failed due to environmentally friendly plastics is horse hockey. I was happy to see that this part from URO was perfect for a seal replacement. I wont put URO anything on my car. This was a one time thing. Good luck!

Bottom gasket fits great. The antenna tip rubber it a bit tight going throughout the factory hole, but I used a little patience and some soap to help lube the process. (Make sure everything is wiped dry before installing the cover.) I didn't drill the hole larger as some Reviewers have mentioned. Just be careful and take your time installing. I installed the antenna tip from the bottom of the cover up. There's a small o-ring for the screw that holds the cover to the roof (not in this kit) so be careful not to loose it when you take the metric hex head screw out. Easy fix, great product and looks great when it's done.

Took 5 mines to install. The antenna part was the hardest part just push it in and twist it and pull up the other end because it is made of some sort of rubber it will go through. Just pull and twist slowly until all 4 rings at the bottom come through. Thanks URO. My car looks much better. This is my first buy from you guys and it want be my last. Fit perfect for a 2002 E320 Mercedes

This is an excellent product and a great saving over the $190 the dealer wants for the entire assembly. Buyer beware: I gave this product 4 stars because the package should have contained a warning to lubricate or warm the rubber antenna cover before pulling it through the hole. I soaked the rubber piece in hot water for 2 minutes and was able to pull the gasket into place without difficulty.

Purchased this for my nearly pristine 2000 C230 (only 28K miles on a 19 year old car, which I babied since when it was brand new). The hardest part of the installation was getting the rubber antenna mast to fit in the hole of the plastic antenna cover. The trick is to push the open end of the rubber mast into the hole from the outside in, do not try to pull the tip end through the hole from the underneath side of the cover. Yes, it’s counterintuitive. It was very frustrating, seemed impossible. But with a lot of elbow grease and perseverance, pinching, folding, twisting, repeat over and over, it does eventually pop through. After that, putting the cover back on and screwing it in place was self evident and easy. The best resource and inspiration I came across was a review on this product by “Lenka” titled, “Worked perfectly. Nice part. Easy install.” Now my car is once again in showroom condition! Mahalo to Lenka, some other amazon reviewers, and a couple of inspirational YouTube instructional vids.

I have to give this 3 stars because it is a little misleading in its description. I was looking for the actually "Antenna Tip", the antenna itself. This is NOT! When the say antenna kit it is just the rubber boot (what they call the antenna tip) and Gasket, its just the rubber boot that goes over the actual Antenna tip. I know confusing. If your looking for the Antenna itself this is NOT it! but it is a great product which you will also need when replacing your antenna. This is just the rubber gasket and rubber boot (tip), This is NOT an "Antenna Kit".

Perfect fit for 2000 E320 4 Matic. A note to owners who have the Mercedes cell phone installed in their cars, the antenna required is different from the one included. The one included in the kit will work but you will have to take off the cellular module for the car phone to do so. (not to bad since the stock phones do not work anymore)I realized this after I bought the kit but the included rubber seal is a perfect fit and definitely is a quick fix to enhance the look of the car.

Aber was soll's.

Lieferung ging schnell.
