Purchased these to replace the L5 choke filter in a Commodore 128. They seem to be working fine. I am using cleaner power with a 9v ac wall adapter and a 5v dc wall adapter instead of the original Commodore 128 power supply.

Like everyone else in the world using these, I'm using these to make a handful of "Classic Circuit" Joule Thieves.They're working fine with 2N2222s.Drawing ~7.5ma off a AA with I had originally intended to be enviro-friendly and harvest toroids and magnet wire from some dead CFL bulbs,but these are inexpensive enough and very nicely wound.

Not much to it, 2 wires wrapped around a magnet. Did what it was supposed to in a joule thief circuit.
