I bought two of them to be used to balance servos. They worked perfectly. I tested them to insure they read the same and they were excellent matches. Great value !

It's an analog ammeter, it does what is expected of analog ammeters, behaves predictably. Those other, modern, digital contraptions with their built-in shunts confuse me. As a child, I was taught to never, ever hook up an ammeter in parallel. Not anymore. But give me an old fashioned analog ammeter any day.

Ordered this to monitor amperage from small off-line solar panel (emergency power supply to replace a gasoline generator). This meter seems very accurate and has been in use for about a week. I can watch the amperages rise and fall with clouds passing overhead. It is working exactly as expected.

It works for monitor low current DC so far. No instruction or paper work, all label with Chinese language. It's not expensive so I gave it 3 stars.

When I received the meter and tried it out, I thought it wasn't working. It doesn't come with any instructions. After some investigating online and watching youtube videos, I determined I needed a shunt. I created one out of heavy gauge audio wiring and it seems to work properly with a couple tests using batteries with specific amp ratings. For under $8, I got what I paid for, and its functional.

The meter works well, is within advertised specs, readings are consistent. I wish the needle were black instead of read for better visitility, but otherwise it is a good choice for non-critical current measurements.

Perfect for my needs, where I want a self-powering indication of current (solar project). Digital readouts are nice, but the power required and the necessary polarity of wiring issues are problematic. Analog is self-power, and very simple to wire in series.
