I have a very old Rockwell drill press and was surprised to find a number of vendors offering replacement return springs for the spindle. Some were quite expensive, but these were not and they workwell.

I needed a replacement spring after my previous one snapped/broke. This one fit my WEN 8-inch drill press, so if that’s what you have you can purchase this with confidence. It hasn’t been installed very long (about a month or two with light-moderate use) so I can’t say anything about its longevity/durability, but it came with two so at least I have a backup whenever the first one bites the dust.

These fit and replaced the original snapped quill spring on a Slober Freight / central machinery 10 In. 12 Speed Bench Drill Press #63471, whether it fits others I don't knowbought the 3 pack and will see if these hold up
