I was looking for this exact style knob (in metric thread) for a while. There’s plenty of knob options out there, but needed something low profile and with a knurled metal knob. I was happy to eventually find these on Amazon, and they’re exactly what I needed for my project.

Got a few of another brand thumbscrews on Amazon that I like. They are nickel-plated brass but a bit too long so required cutting and reshaping the cut tips round.Threads on these uxcell screws are the required length of 12mm. I still needed to round and polish the screw tips to prevent marring the surface of what the screws tighten against. It was easy to do despite the fact these are stainless steel and not brass. Screws look smart on a 3D printed part, and large heads are easy to grip. For threading plastics, I found that using a #31 or #32 bit in place of the #30 suggested for M4-0.7 threads gives a tighter fit.

Good Quality, no issues. Used it to replace the plastics clips that secure a mud guard over my vehicles engine oil filter. Now I can easily remove it without struggle. The plastics clips are a pain to remove. Nut inserts were installed as well found on Amazon.
