Buy 2, buy 4, buy 8!!!! These are so low cost you can't afford to not have several laying around! Won't give you super precision, but will do a great job giving you measurements when you need them!

I use these for measuring the thickness of food to calculate sous-vide cooking times. They're great for this and easy to clean.If you need a precision instrument, obviously look elsewhere.

These are flimsy, and don't HOLD a measurement, so you measure something, breathe, or move the caliper, and the slider is all over the place. I wanted a SMALL caliper for getting into tight spaces, but these are more like like Piñata prizes than tools. Another herald of the change in marketplace I suppose.

I bought these because I wanted to carry a caliper in my pocket. These will fit in a pocket ok, but they are very flimsy. For example, the depth measurement rod is plastic about the size of a tooth pick. For the same price, sturdier 6in calipers cut down to 3 inches are a better solution.

As described. Slides freely without tension, so you have to get your measurement before removing.

I bought this to be a pocket caliper I could keep on me for all those times I happen to need one, which seems to be often enough, surprisingly. I regularly use a plastic vernier caliper on my desk, but it is much higher quality.I found these ones to be very flimsy and loose and the injection molding marks were still protruding from the parts. I'd say these are useful in a pinch but definitely not something I'd see myself using all the time.
