My 2011 mini Cooper countyman would make a loud, obnoxious whistling sound when I first started it up in the morning, then it would stop. After a couple of YouTube videos I was able to narrow it down to the PVC diaphragm. My old one has a tear in the rubber gasket. This easy to install $20 part did the trick!!
