It's a nice and fancy addition to your affirmation or scripting rituals. The engravings are lovely and the pen has a comfortable, weighty feel in your hand. The peacock feathers don't impress like the photo, but it still looks cool. It's a worthy purchase!

Writes well. Nibs are gorgeous and write smooth. You can write a fair amount with one inkwell dip.

Well, I can’t say how well it works. I can say it’s very beautiful. I actually bought it completely an entirely for a decoration.

I gave this to a co worker as a gift and she loved it. This was a cheap but expensive looking present that made someone very happy. I will definitely buy this again. It's a great gift for co workers

Nice pen. Gave 4 stars because the feather is not as big as it is in the picture.

I loved writing with this. It's the perfect weight and height. The feather is soft too. It stands really well in the stand it came with. Easy to interchange the tips too.

I've enjoyed using this pen over the past week. My first time using it was only the second time I've written with an ink-dip pen, and the first time was about twenty years ago for ten minutes using a feather. It's a nice change from a ballpoint or rollerball pen, and not that inconvenient in terms of setting up and having to repeatedly dip it in ink.The design and detail-work is beautiful and elegant for its steampunk motif. It's quality-made, using steel alloy, so every piece of it is strong and inflexible, and expertly crafted. The feather is genuine, albeit dyed and cut into a sleek shape, and is secure in the shaft of the steel body with no worry of it coming loose without forcing it out. A ribbon is tied to the shaft where you grip the pen, which is an elegant touch, but I removed it before I began using the pen to avoid it becoming a nuisance. The set comes with four nibs, a bottle of ink, a stand, and a blank thank you card and envelope. I've only used the nib that's already on the quill, and given how I enjoy using it I doubt I'll swap it out to test the others--the company actually advises you not to swap the nibs too often or they might wear down the fitting and begin to sit awkwardly in it.The ink is quick-drying, which is a relief, because I cannot write well or comfortably if my hand isn't resting on the page. How long each dip lasts depends on the quality of the dip--there are times when I'll only write six words, and there are other times where I'll write twenty-plus words. The ink stays on the nib after you dip, which I especially like--you don't have to wipe any excess on the lip of the jar, or worry about it dripping onto the page. The nib is designed to retain the ink and channel it through grooves to its tip. It flows onto the page evenly--there's no bleeding or globules. Also, if you need a minute to compose your thoughts or tend to something, whether you hold onto the pen or place it in its stand, the ink won't dry out in those few minutes. The bottle comes with a rubber stopper to prevent the ink from seeping out while it's laying in the box, which is where I keep it when I'm not using it. This does mean that every time I remove the stopper, I get a little ink on the ends of several fingertips. It takes about five good washes with soap to get the ink off--I find by the time I have a shower the next day, most of the ink is already gone from my skin. I wipe the nib off with a bit of toilet paper when I finish--the ink comes off cleanly. The stand is nice--given as much attention to its details and craftsmanship as the pen. Though, as some others have mentioned, the pen does sit a little loose in it. It has a good weight and a wide base, so it won't tip over, and it holds almost an inch of the pen (including the nib), so it is secure when it's in the stand. It's a smooth writing experience that isn't terribly different from writing with a standard pen (which is a little disappointing). I'm writing in a sketchbook, using both the front and back of each page. I can't say as to how the paper's treated or its thickness, but there's no bleedthrough. So it's been a fun, easy-going experience. I only wish I had a proper desk to help my posture while I write. The ink should last me for a while, so I should get plenty of writing done with it. I'll have to hop on YouTube now and learn how to write in a proper scrawl!
