obviously a returned item as the blade guards were gone and there is food bits on the blade--looks like meat fats. Not happy about that, but so far it works properly. Will keep you posted on the workings as I haven't figured everything out yet.

Upon initial use I determined that the blade was very dull. Had to adjust the hardware just to get the sharpener to clear the blade. It was immediately apparent that either the blade or shaft were bent. Upon cleaning the unit, I noticed that meat scraps were thrown almost 30 inches behind the blade. Vevor has no outlet for replacement blades. Poor quality control and lack of operating instructions made the decision to return very easy.

It's pretty heavy so find a good spot for it in the kitchen.

First...it is heavy and needs lots of room/space. There is very little instructions included. There is a YouTube video for the 10" model which is very similar (No longer on theirs's or this web site). It explains how to use the sharpener and removing the blade. The guy is using it for making raw meat dog food. It is slanted at an angle which aids in pushing for slicing. The numbers is in MM {0-16} so 1 is about 1/32, 3~1/8, 6~1/4...to 16 approx 5/8. Most complaints are about the noise. I suppose it is because the blade is behind a plate designed to keep foods, especially cheese, from sticking. Haven't yet, but I am going to use the food grade lubricate and food grade silicone spray to see if it helps. Suggest using a food grade cleaner (i.e. Whip-it or Citrus Acid)....for a quick clean-up. Soft meats should be semi-frozen for best results. The guide doesn't go all the way left OR right when slicing....which will Yield unevenness toward the end. My biggest worry is the extended warranty offered...especially the one offered by Amazon; for two reasons, it doesn't start until a year after the manufacturers warranty and this company Assurance. They used to offer Square Trade which was more reliable. But, none-the-less, ALL extended warranties are really iffy. The other puzzling thing is 420 watts motor and 250 watts listed below. They have tried to explain it...but, still confusing.I forgot...they included a belt and plastic guard...with no instructions. The guard I figured out by watching the aforementioned video.

This is one of the best slicers I have ever used.I have used many slicer Hobart is one of the top of the line slicers and this one is a close second.to thatI would recommend it to anyone who wants a slicer that will last.The only drawback is that it doesn't slice that last little bit and leaves about a half inch of what ever you are slicing.But overall it is a great slicer

Solid. Easy to use and clean. I watched a YouTube video to learn. Only drawback are the horribly printed instructions. If they can be considered as such. Not sure how to put one safety piece on but purchased cut-resistant gloves. Suggest you do too.
