I am very disappointed in this style of bulbs. I installed these in recessed lighting ceiling fixtures. I originally bought this size and observed each one burn out quickly. I did find that this brand has a par 38 larger diameter that is lasting normally and none of the larger light bulbs have burnt out. The key for longer life is to install a dimmer and never use at full power. In doing this, my lights bulbs last for around four years or more, using them about four hours or more a day. With the decreased power, yes there is not as much brightness, but the bulbs are not hit with a surge of electrical power in the beginning. Another thing is that my lights just stay on when I turn them on unless I am going to be gone for a few hours. Turning lights off and on severely shortens light bulb life. Sonthe bottom line is that thisnstyle of bulb from Vinaco flunk the useage test, but their larger par38 last in the way I described earlier. Also, for your information, you can find light bulbs socket extenders that I use to bring the surface of these light bulbs tonthe surface of the recessed ceiling light cans. Hope this information has been educational.

I write the install date on the back of these in sharpie when I replace one. On average, these have been lasting a year. The old Sylvanias (no longer produced) used to last about 10 years, so these are 10x crappier :)

I ordered two bars. This one for looks, the other one because it was like most bars…..functional.One is installed in my bathroom, the other on the shower! By far and away this one looks and feels best! Put a second one like this in the same shower!Love it!
