I was looking for good outdoor chairs for my chicken yard to replace cheap folding camp chairs. These chairs stay outside, often in the sun. I needed good chairs that could support weights if different visitors and stand up to the elements. I needed at least some chairs that were extra light, since moving chairs around can be hard with psoriatic arthritis. I'm 5'6", 175lbs. Here we go!First, VINGLI Folding Webbed Oversized Lawn Chairs with Detachable Cup Holder, 300 LBS, Dark Green. I've just gotten these, so I cannot speak to their longevity. But they are perfect for me right now. Wider than I need, but I wanted visitors to be able to fit in them also, so I got the oversized version. Plenty of room. Room. The cup holder is decently wide. It's not very deep so things could fall out easily. But for me that's not a big deal. It's rather firm to sit on, but I know from experience that the webbing will loosen over time and be quite comfortable. I did not want a chair that leaned back. Too much on this one is definitely the straightest back of these chairs. And it is so light. Even with my arthritic hands, I can easily hold one with one hand. I think the oversized version is somewhere around 6 lb and it is so simple to carry these around. I needed a couple of chairs that were mobile so I can carry them from coop to coop when I'm caring for the birds. These are absolutely perfect for that, so I hope that they hold up over time. I love the green color with the cream stripes. Other than not knowing how well they will last, these get five stars for me. I will note that if I try to stretch my legs out, the bar does kind of dig into the back of my thighs. But if I keep my feet under my knees, that's not a problem. And I got these because I prefer a taller chair. It's easier for me to get out of. So that is definitely not a negative about this chair. I specifically got it because of the height.Second, KINGYES HDPE Rocking Chairs Outdoor, Patio Rocking Chairs with 330lbs Support, Pistachio (green) and Aruba Blue. I really really love these. I prefer the pistachio color so the Aruba blue is going to my daughter. I like the pistachio so much that I have ordered a second one. I've had these for a couple of seasons out in the sun and the rain and the snow. They are tough as nails. Easily dragged around but they are quite heavy. They are not chairs that I would move around too often. The rocking feature works great and the armrests are nice and wide. The seats have plenty of room, even for my 6'1 husband. I have seen some reviews saying they were too short, but at least for my height. They are perfection. Any higher and I think they might be a bit hard on the back of my legs. Over time, the seats have sagged just very slightly. And all kinds of people have have been sitting on these. I actually think the sagging is a positive. It is only very slight, and it actually adds to the comfort of the chair. These are definitely the most stable of all of my chairs. The poly wood is heavy and so tough. These chairs get hosed off regularly and sit in all kinds of weather. When I hose them off they look just like new. Absolutely five stars.Lastly, PORTAL Oversized Folding Camping Chair High Back Portable Lawn Chairs for Adults, 400lbs, grey. This is probably my least favorite. Not that it is a bad chair. It is not as firm as the webbed folding chair, conforms to the body much more. But I actually don't like to sit back too far and I feel like this one makes me lean back a little further than I like to. At my height. I can lean my head back comfortably on the chair. But again, I'm leaning back a little further than I want to for my purposes. It would be great if you preferred a little more angle to your chair. I find it a little bit heavy. I have the rocking chairs settled in more permanent positions and I'm going to use the folding chairs to carry around. I actually thought I would like this one more than I do. I splurged and got a really nice folding camp chair, but I didn't realize how much heavier it was. I tend to not use it much because it is heavy. The edges began fraying within 2 months on the seat. A screw broke on the side of the chair and needed to be replaced. I'm not sure why, but if you open and close this, it tends to unscrew the screws which is a little irritating. Overall, if you don't mind a heavier chair, it is comfortable. I've looked at a lot of these higher end camp chairs and most of them look like they have this fraying problem on the seat. I don't leave this one out in the yard, it stays under a roof. I feel like it definitely would not handle sitting out in the yard as well. I prefer hard armrests and this kind has the narrow ones covered with cloth that have become popular. I don't find those narrow ones very comfortable. It has progressively gotten more difficult to open and close this chair. It's gotten stiffer over time for some reason. I'm really not seeing any rust so I'm not sure why it has gotten more and more stiff. But it is definitely a step up from the cheap camp chairs. It's nice and wide and supports a lot of weight very easily. I can stretch my legs out and it doesn't cut off the circulation on the back of my legs. I'm not sorry I got it but I don't think I would repurchase one of these. It has gotten very little use compared to the rocking chairs and I wouldn't say it has held up extremely well. All three of these chairs, of course, are better than the cheap camp chairs. I fit into the cheap camp chair well, and I've used them for years. But at some point the arms rip through, and there's always that surprising moment when the seat rips and you go plummeting to the ground. I wanted something that was a little more comfortable and wasn't as likely to toss me to the ground, and the aluminum folding chairs are definitely going to fit the bill if they last well.

I absolutely love these chairs! I’ve been using those collapsible chairs that go into a nylon tube when not in use, you know the kind. The problem has always been that I have to “fall into them” and then climb out again. I even had a Big Men’s model and it still was harder than it should be to get in or out of. Now, these chairs are great. Literally a second or two to unfold and put in place. They sit up high. High enough for my 6’4” self to easily just sit down and get back up with these chairs. Not heavy at all to carry around. Just comfortable. Says it has a 300 lb. or so weight limit. I can only say they for sure hold 280 lbs. without even creaking or anything. Seriously, stop messing around with those other chairs and get these. You will not regret it.

My old, ridged, rattan aluminum frame chairs were going to be a PITA to redo or expensive. I Was not going to settle for steel. These old school folders are really good. At first I was disappointed that the arms weren't the old style, ribbed aluminum from my youth, but these are very nice. So light and fold away to really get out of the way if needed.

The chairs are very nice. Well constructed and likely to hold up but time will tell for sure. They are light but yet strong, you feel secure in them with the added support/stabilizers on the bottom frame. The front seat frame is a little high and with prolong seating tends to bother the hamstring area a bit. Other reviewers have alluded to this issue but it is really not that big of a deal breaker. I’m happy with this purchase and recommend the chairs.

We love these chairs. We’ve taken them to the beach, ball games, track meets, cookouts. Everywhere. They are very light but yet can hold me and my husband easily. They are quite comfortable too.

These are great, sturdy, well made chairs. We keep these kinds of chairs out in the upper yard year round, as don't want to lug chairs up and down each winter. My husband is 6' 4" and 220 pounds and finds these chairs the most comfortable yet!
