this worked great after i used a heat gun and straightened out the brush. it will find any rotten holes in the piping, i thought i had another year left(3yr old exposed metal 6in flue) before needing to replace but it cleaned the creosote away and exposed holes in a 90* turn.

I used this to clean my chimney and it was quite useful in finding out that my chimney didn't actually have that much creosote in it. It makes it obvious from the sound how dirty the chimney is clear down in the middle where you can't see. This feels like it's less aggressive than other metal chimney brushes I've used. That could be good or bad for your situation. Overall I'm happy with it. It makes everyone less worried about the fireplace knowing the chimney isn't filled with creosote.

We had a terrible creosote smell that would not go away so I ordered this chimney sweep kit.Using a cordless drill on low speed and this worked fantastically! I didn't need help. It attaches very securely, and the tools needed to disassemble each section are provided. The goggles and gloves are kind of disposable. But the rods, brish head, and replaceble bristles are super solid and worked well.Tips: Use the drop cloth. Run a Hepa Filter on high the whole time cleaning to cut down on the dust. Wear the gloves and goggles. Wear clothes you don't care too much for. Creosote is nasty. When sweeping the chimney, adjacent slowly. You'll have to pause to add a new rod section in every once in a while. Use a good filter in your shop vac to avoid blowing dust in you home.Now our chimney is clean and the creosote smell is gone. We found a couple abandoned birds nest. If you use your fireplace yearly, clean it yearly. Learn from me!

I have always cleaned my chimney with an old school brush that you had to use from the top of the chimney. This chimney brush is so much easier to use and the bonus I can clean from the inside of the house. This worked great and it's so easy to use. My old school chimney brush will now go on the trash.

This was so easy to set up and use on my chimney. I usually get the ladder out, and my old chimney brush is made of metal, and I have to push it down my chimney forcibly and unsafely.Now, all I have to do is pop this into the cleanout at the bottom of my chimney and safely clean the chimney from the ground.I will never use my old chimney brush again.Great product.
