About this item

  • [Heat Powered] This small wood stove fan is a perfect addition to every home that has a wood stove. No batteries or electricity required, but simply the heat from your stovetop, this stove fan allows you to get the maximum heat from your wood burner stoves.
  • [Easy to Use] No assembly required, you only need to place this mini stove fan on a smooth flat surface of your stovetop, the stove fan will automatically rotate with the temperature getting higher. The hotter the stovetop is, the faster the stove fan spins and the more warm air the stove fan circulates.
  • [Operating temperature] The working temperature of this wood stove fan is 85-350°C. It starts spinning when the temperature gets around 55°C, and works most efficiently when it gets around 250-300°C. But please avoid using the fan at high temperature continuously for a long time. Kindly note that its working efficiency will be various as per your stovetop temperature, room space etc.
  • [Whisper and Quiet] The noise level of the wood stove fan is less than 25db, the only moving part is the blades, which makes the wood stove fan almost totally silent even at top speed. You even do not know the stove fan is there, but you will still feel a breeze, but not wind from your fan.
  • [Overheating Protection] The stove fan comes with a bi-metallic safety device at the bottom. When the surface temperature rises around 250-300°C, it will gently lift the front of the fan to protect the TEG and motor. The fan will automatically recover normally as the surface temperature decreases.

This is a really useful item. No batteries, no electricity - just thermal dynamics. It is small, silent and kind of cool looking. Although I live in a mild climate, i was surprised by how much of a difference it’s made in my energy usage. I haven’t turned on the heater all week even though the day-time temperatures have been consistently in the low 40’s. It’s a clever way to distribute the heat from my wood stove by pushing the heat horizontally rather than up. In addition to the.use the Voda fan, I’m using my ceiling fan on low to push the heat to the rest of the house. As an added bonus, I can gage how well the fire is doing from across the room by observing the rotation speed of the fan. I am pleased with this modestly priced investment and would recommend it to others.

I purchased this fan recently and have only used it for a couple days, yet I am thoroughly impressed, so much so that I may buy a second one. I live in a 1,200 square foot cabin on Lake Super north of Duluth, so I know what cold is. I have horribly expensive baseboard heat, so I use my Jotul wood burning stove as much as possible. When it is cold outside, so right now around 5 to -10 degrees Fahrenheit/-15 to -23 degrees Celsius, I am lucky if I can get the main space up to just over 50 degrees Fahrenheit as I burn soft wood I harvest on my property. HOWEVER, just in the last two days of use, I can feel a huge difference in how heat is more evenly distributed, and I am able to heat the space much quicker and much higher, getting up to near 70 degrees Fahrenheit. As we know, heat rises, so it is having to 'fill' the space with warm air from the ceiling down before you can really feel it. So, this fan works great at pushing warm air directly from the stove surface out into the room horizontally, while the stove still does its normal radiant heating thing.Reading other reviews before purchasing, this fan is very well built, sturdy, and super quiet. It is so quiet that the only way I remember it is there is when I see the blades moving. Following their instructions, I keep the fan on the stove top in a back corner. Now, to be clear, you may not feel any air movement. In fact, when it first begins to spin, I feel cool air as it is moving the pre-heated air around, though as my stove warms up, I can feel warm air circulating even though holding my hand in front of the fan, I don't feel air movement. I can attest that, with my limited use, I see a HUGE difference in how quickly and how thoroughly my space is heated.Based on the pictures, it seemed that the fan utilized a heatsink behind the blade, as I assumed the heat transferred from the stove through the fan's base would require deflecting the heat to protect the minimal electronics. However, I don't think this is the case as the aluminum base, while it gets as hot as the stove top, actually doesn't connect directly to the fan body as there seems to be a white thermal barrier between the base and the fan body, so the fan body is actually not hot and is just above room temperature, so I am not clear on what the decorative swirly heatsink looking body does, though maybe it does diffuse enough heat to protect the electronics. There are so many options for these sorts of fans, and not having experience with them, I really based this purchase from what seemed to be a popular brand name, the fact that the company seems to continue to improve their products and have many price-point options, the good reviews, and the size of the fan as this fan is larger than many I read about on Amazon. This is a well built, simple fan that seems to make a massive difference, at least from my limited experience.

Bought this fan in February and was delivered 2/12/24. This little fan was really impressive with how much heat the fan would push around and heat the entire space very evenly, and it was really quiet vs using an electric plug-in fan to push air around the living space. Then in March, a month later and just after the "return period" it just decided to quit working all together. Wasn't a really expensive fan, and I was impressed with how well this little fan worked, right up to the point is crapped out...a month later. So I'm contacting the seller to see about exchanging it or just refunding my money. I'll update review if I make any progress...or not. Either way, I'll add the seller contact status to the review, positive or negative. I guess that will be up to them.

Bought this first week in February. It is now dead about two months later. It lasted about twice as long as another brand. While it worked it was quiet and moved enough air for the space it was in. The stove it was on was very small. There is a stack thermometer on it. It never gets above 550 F.I just don't think these things at this price point are made to last.UPDATEI'm not changing my rating. However I did some research and found replacement thermoelectric units on Amazon...search Voda thermoelectric power. They are about one third price of new fan The kit even comes with screwdriver and screw replacements. It is an easy job to replace and works like new now. Good for Voda for offering replacement parts. BUT the units should last more than 2 months to begin with. Or the company should include extra modules in the original purchase if they are considered an expendable part.

This was a good fan for about 3 months. The last week or two you could hear the bearings (bushing) was wearing out. It started squeaking, vibrating and rattling until if finally stopped spinning all together.

Works a treat. Just having my third fire with my new fan on top. Almost totally silent - house seems warmer than usual and only burning logs on the multi-fuel stove at the moment. Very pleased with the results. Update - one month on and still works a treat. It definitely makes the difference as we've gone below 0c now and we're still just using logs.

Dann lieber leiser, dauert halt...
