Compatible with whirlpool, kenmore, maytag, amana, kitchen aid and ikea refrigerator (some models of these brands, not all).
If your refrigerator model is not listed below, it may not be compatible. You can check with us before purchasing.
Steps to Complete Replacement
1. Remove the screws securing the rear panel and remove the rear panel.
Before replacing, please turn off your main water supply & unplug the fridge.
2. Remove the plastic clip of the old part and disconnect the front water hose
3. Remove the old inlet valve assembly
warm tips: Place a clean and dry rag under the inlet valve assemblybefore continuing.
4. Install the new part, connect the wire and water hose and tighten the screws to secure the wate valve.

I used this to replace the valve in my whirlpool refrigerator. Easy to replace and the product worked perfectly. So excited to be able to replace myself instead of having to call a repair person that was going to cost a fortune for labor and the part.Great experience!

I don't know what the heck this valve assembly is supposed to fit, but it sure isn't a Maytag MSS25C4MGZ03. I ordered this after our icemaker quit, and replacing the ice maker didn't fix the problem. I was advised by the Maytag repair agent that I should try replacing the valve. He gave me the part number, and I ordered it. It was easy enough to replace. It looks like the old one, but when I installed it and turned everything back on the water came out like a jet and completely missed the tray, and ran water down the door, which (of course) froze, and had to be thawed off. To further aggravate me, when we pushed the water button, the water trickled out - like over a minute to fill an 8oz. glass. I put the old valve back in and water flow went back to normal, and for the time being, the ice maker is working again.NOTE: it looks like the right valve, but it sure didn't act like it.

Valve worked for about a month, max. Valve started letting too much water into the ice maker, this caused quite a mess and I had to toss some of the frozen goods. Replaced with an OEM valve and it's been flawless since. You do get what you pay for.
