About this item

  • Connect any combination of solid, stranded, and flexible copper wires faster and more reliably
  • Minimize space consumption in the junction box by 40% compared to 222 Series
  • Visually inspect for proper strip length and complete wire insertion through its transparent housing
  • Operate comfortably and with lower operating forces by using familiar orange levers

Setting new standards in electrical installations, WAGO’s new ‘all-around’ connector is smaller and even more user friendly than its successful predecessor, the 222 Series.

If you want the absolute best wire connection for 2 wires, a wire nut is hard to beat. But once you start connecting 3 or more in a small junction box, the Wago lever-nuts are the way to go. They are UL approved, so you know they’ll handle the rated amperage, and I’ve seen them tested to double the rating without failure. Every 12 and 14 gauge wire in my home is connected by them, and I’ve added the 600 series lever-nuts for 10 gauge/30A circuits. I still use and trust wire nuts; they are proven technology. But for most household wiring, Wago works as well and is faster and easier. I’m sold on them!

The product is beyond great - I don't know how I ever lived without these things for use in electrical junction boxes. No severe pain from twisting multiple wires in a wire cap (I have carpal tunnel), they have two test ports for a probe, and you can apply them to form circuits literally as fast as you can strip the wires in a junction box. These are just better in every single way than even the push connectors made by Wago or Ideal. You can use them with wire sizes ranging from #20 down to #12, with both solid and stranded wire. They also sell a higher amperage version (221-615) rated at 30 amps that supports #10 wire. The only downside is cost, as these are obviously significantly more expensive than bulk standard wire caps. However, the expense is quickly made up with the reduced labor in installing them - as far as I am concerned, this offsets the extra expense. Plus, you never have to worry about a bad connection or broken wire resulting from a badly twisted wire cap.

Installing smart switches and some new lighting fixtures. Will never go back to twist-on wire nuts. These save space, are simple to install, and simple to remove. They make great electrical contact and you can be sure the connection is solid, and never have to re-twist or worry about loose wiring. Not sure why WAGO doesn't have a 4 position lever nut available, I bought a knock-off brand. Try them, you will like them.

If ever there was a better invention than sliced bread, this is it!. Solid connections and much better than the stab in style. I’ve always thought there must be a better way than twisting connections and hoping it holds when you fold it back in. Even the stab in style gave me doubts sometimes. With these lever locks, you can leave a shorter wire in the box and thus so much easier to fold back leaving more room for these newer wi-fi receptacles or switches which require more room. I tried the stab in style and even though they work ok, these lever locks remove any doubts of a solid connection. Virtually cants pull the connection loose. Oh, and also easy to remove and reattach if you need to reconfigure your wiring for any reason, like adding a three way switch at the last moment like I did. If you have any doubts about these, just try them, you’ll be glad you did and you’ll never switch back. Disclaimer: I am not a licensed electrician; but, I have a lot of experience building and remodeling. I was not compensated in any way for this review.

I love these things. They are much easier to use than wire nuts. They clamp in the electrical wire very firmly and avoids the issues of wire nuts where the wires can come loose of the wire nut, especially when using different gauge electrical wire. Researching these on YouTube there are several safety tests showing that they are very safe to use, and many times outperform traditional electrical wire nuts.

Will rarely use wire nuts (Marrette connectors) again. These lever nuts are reusable and super easy to work with and Wago is the quality brand that started it all. Zero complaints.
