Looks good. On the wall that the item is installed on incudes square outlet and switch covers. Having a round wall plate for the Ecobee just looked out of place. It looks much better with the square one.Seems to be of good quality.

This was easy to install and actually covers much more wall area than I expected. The rounded corners are a nice touch. The Ecobee 3 Lite comes with a cheesy, round plate that looks like what it is -- cheesy. This one is much better. Very happy with this cover. Recommended.

Had a builder grade dumb thermostate from the '90s. This is a great upgrade. Got the extra sensors and program the temperatures to sense the lower floor during the day and the bedrooms at night.Installation instructions are easy to understand. Did not take long at all to install. If self installing you will need to look at your furnace/A/C control board to see what wires you have. The unit comes with a adapter if you do not have a 'C' wire that needs to be installed at the control board. Luckily I did not have to do this. If you have the standard thermostat wiring, should be atleast 6 wires at the thermostat and connected at the control board you will be fine.

My father in law bought the Ecobee 3 Lite and his didn’t come with a wall plate. So I bought this for him and it works out great. It’s a good addition if you don’t have the wall plate from Ecobee. But compared this to ecobee, their wall plate is flat and flush with the wall (not raised). This one is raised and contours to the evobee curves (look at side pictures). So I’d you want a flat one so not buy this and buy the OEM from ecobee. He was happy with it so that’s good.

Total crap! No instructions. There is one side on plate that is recessed, but have no idea if it’s supposed to. E on top, side , bottom. Thermostat would not fit inside plate to install. I really had to modify to make work and still doesn’t look good. Don’t buy.

We installed our ecobee3 lite about 10 days ago and so I really like it. I sent photos of my old thermostat and the wiring inside my furnace to ecobee customer service before I purchased the ecobee3. They confirmed the thermostat would be compatible and that I would need to install the power extender that comes with the thermostat. The step by step instructions included with the thermostat were easy to follow. The thermostat was easy to install and set up on my phone. I love being able to control the temperature settings from anywhere. Very happy with my purchase!
