My son has a mountain bike with fatter than normal tires. I wasn't sure if his bike would be able to fit, but it did! We installed four of these hooks (rotating-type) less than 18" apart, and our four bikes do really well. It is important that the bikes hang, and the bottom tire doesn't touch the floor, which we learned the hard way. If the bikes hang, then they are steady and swivel-able on the wall. If you install the hooks too low, and the bottom tire touches the wall, the bikes are unwieldy! These hooks have made our garage much more manageable! I would highly recommend them. And the price is right!

Update: the seller contacted me within a few days of posting the review below and offered a full refund. I requested a replacement hook instead and they send me two. Very responsive seller, who clearly wants customers to be satisfied. The new hooks look great so I suspect I got the one that slipped through QC. I have now been using these hooks for several weeks and really like the function. Note that they can be tight on some tire/wheel combinations. For example, no issues at all with a 650b/47mm but very tricky for a 700/32mm. Highly recommend you give it a try.Original review belowI received and installed 4 of these hooks and found that the plastic sleeve one of them is all cracked out of the box. It will fall off and damage the bike’s rim. Should never have left the factory. Makes me wonder about the durability of the sleeves on the other hooks. Can’t get a hold of the seller to resolve.

Overall satisfied. I have 2 of these and two more expensive ones. With these, If you run anything wider than a 2.4 tire and tallish rims, be prepared to need to lift your entire bike to feed the tire in sideways. It's not a deal killer unless you can't lift your bike vertically and manipulate it. I can barely fit one of my bikes with 2.5 tires with Raceface rims. The mount works great once the rim is worked in. Overall satisfied. Good value for the money.

These do the job, but the spring that keeps the pivot from moving when in the lock position is way too soft. Less than 1 lb of vertical pressure will depress it. Joe, even if you lightly touch it with the front tire, it swivels and moves out of place and is very difficult to manage. Other than that, everything else has been great.

Installs quickly with 2 large lag bolts for the base, then screw on swivel hook. You need to be strong enough to lift the bike to the hook and adjust the wheel, so weight is on rim and not a spoke. As long as its mounted straight up and down (use a level), the bike stays where you swing it to. The lower tire which rests on the wall will leave tire marks on wall as expected.

We returned these. We bought them thinking it would be perfect for our boys to hang up their bikes. The bikes would not stay on the hooks. I loved the idea, but in actuality it was not a win! It was not ease to assembly. It needed to have a 2x4 behind it, and the bike tires beat up the wall while trying to get it on and off the hook.

This is a fantastic option to mount to a wall and hold your bicycle. Just make sure you mount to a stud for security.

I could not use provided hardware to mount as it just came off the wall. It is not good for bigger bikes, I have 29er and very difficult to hang my bike on it. Another thing is that swivel moves super light so despite locking mechanism when not used the moment you try to hook or unhook a bicycle it starts to swing around.
