I took a regular water hose and zip tied heat trace to it. Then I laid out this insulation, placed the hose in the center of it and pinched it together around the hose along its entire length. it's been outside in the weather for about 2 months, laying on the ground. There's a section about three feet wide that I walk across routinely, and sometimes step on in the dark.It's held up quite well. It sticks to itself and it sticks to the foil backing very well, it stayed in place and i'm happy with it. it was even flexible when it was quite cold, say ten degrees F. and it's rugged considering my unconventional use of it.

Used the tape on the line going out to my AC unit. It already had some foam on it, but I wanted to add some UV protection and a little more insulation.The tape worked well. The foil outer layer looks thin, but is durable. The insulating layer feels like a lightweight neoprene foam. It's very pliable, but will tear if handled roughly. The 4" width let me cover more area per pass, but can make it difficult to wrap it smoothly, without an edge bunching up.The adhesive sticks well for the most part, but a couple spots started to lift and had to be pressed back down 2-3 times before they stayed in place. These were spots where the edge of the tape was overlapping the foil layer from the previous pass. I didn't see anything on the foil that would prevent the adhesive from sticking.All things considered, this seems to be good lightweight insulating tape. I'll have to see how it holds up over a couple summers, but after a few months it's still in good shape.

Come well packaged quick delivery easy to use - fit. Better fit with two people keeping the tension on the tape. You need to buy more than you think Good well made quality

This stuff it easy to use, easy to apply. It sticks to both metallic and non-metallic piping. I use it to cover heat cable on exposed outdoor pipes. Absolutely no complaints.

I still 100% prefer the old school sticks of pipe insulation it’s so much easier to use and fit than this and also looks way better This stuff does work however it’s dang near impossible to hold the entire roll and wrap around the pipe I cut a few sections and wrapped some tight areas

I like this much better than the fiberglass type of insulation wrap. There is no need to wear a mask and other personal protection- just wrap it on like tape. I like to finish off the ends with silicone tape to make sure it stays in place, but other than that, it is as simple as can be to install. Recommended.

It seems to do what it's supposed to. I'm not sure how long it will hold up or what temperatures it will withstand. Easy to install. The backing came off of it very easily.
