This is probably my favorite purchase of the year so far! I bought this for my goats this shedding season and it works amazing on them helping them to shed their thick under coats and it's so satisfying to see all that fluff come out. Bonus points because the goats enjoy it as much as I do!

Seriously, if you don’t have one, get one now. I initially bought it for my donkeys but use it on my goats & my all my dogs as well. It works wonders on my Great Pyrenees! I’ve thrown away all my other grooming combs. This is the only one you need, I promise. All they have to do is see me with it & they come running to ME. Yes, that’s right, they come running to ME to get brushed. That’s how much they love it. Even my GP who dreaded grooming time, now will just lay patiently while I brush her. Sheds the horse hair as stated but in a softer way, horses love it, almost puts them to sleep. This is much improved upon the old band shedders

** Update after a good year of shedding use 3/2017This is my primary deshedding tool for my donkeys. It does extremely well on their bellies and the back of their legs where they tend to get mats during shedding. It is still the best deshedding tool I own.** Update **Now that I have been using this for a couple of weeks, I will say that this brush is amazing and the donkeys love it as well. Gobs and gobs of winter coat come out every time I use it. Highly recommend it. It is making very short work of getting the winter coat removed.*****I tried this out on two of my donkeys and it was great. They loved it as well. I got an amazing amount of their winter coat off in one brushing. I have been using a two row shedding rake, which up until now, was the best tool I had for the daily donkey brushing. This comb looks like it will hold up well over time. The shedding rakes had nice stainless steel teeth, but the body of the rake was plastic and I already had to super glue one of them back together recently. The rakes did a good job of removing the shed, but this comb got twice as much off in one brushing, if not more. And it did not get stuck in the thick belly coat, or the muddy places on the flanks. I would recommend this for any sort of livestock shedding comb and I am sure it would work well on domestic house animals as well.

I purchased this as a deshedding tool for my horses after reading a review. Although it is sold as a tool for show livestock, the review said it works great for horses. This is the best deshedding tool I have tried. Expensive, yes. But well worth it. The tines are smooth and comfortable, unlike the sharp tines of cheaper tools that make my horse pull away. And it removes the loose hair without having to apply a lot of pressure. The quality of the comb means it will outlast cheaper combs. I was so impressed that I sent one to a friend who struggles with pain and stiffness in her hands from Rheumatoid Arthritis. If you can make the investment it will be well worth it.

This works really well for our Australian Shepherd. He had "HAIR". It does not harm the protective outer coat and captures the loose hair from his more than adequate undercoat. Because ut works so well I can use it less often. Most importantly Lucky like the results as he lives in California and we are into the high 90° days of summer.

This tool is a quality product - excellent design and materials. It is used on cattle primarily but I have also used it on our large frame livestock guardian dogs. It removes undercoat very well. The animals respond well to brushing as it appears to feel great, which aids in handling and training. This is the third purchase of this tool. Highly recommended.

Works like a charm getting rid of their winter coats. One horse enjoys it, the other not so much so I just go a little easier on her. Made good use of it during the Stay At Home covid.
