Update: I see comments where it cannot take the heat and the markings come off. I use my iron on the hottest setting, and I have had NO issues with ruler (but it does get hot so use care in handling--and so does the aluminum Dritz hemmer). It does not melt (It is made from nylon to take the heat). This ruler is indispensable to me.Yes, it does what it is supposed to do. But...you can do some other things with it, too. Use it press a perfect 45 degree angle (using the mark) for your binding and then use it again to fold it back over and press. You will get perfect mitered corners on your binding and a clean line to know where to stop your needle.Enjoy foundation paper piecing? The smaller ruler is perfect for folding your paper over and using in conjunction with the add a quarter ruler. Now, if only they made this bigger to assist quilters who have to double fold WOF for making long cuts. It would be the perfect shim to make folds tight and to perfectly align the second fold (along a mark at the top of a ruler). No more elbows.

Love the measurements on these. The 1/4 is the main reason I purchased this. But you can iron right over them and does not effect them. Only problem is they get a little warped after a few times, but has no effect with the measurements. T.W.

Love it! Handy size and easy to use for hemming and small projects. Even larger projects quality is great, value for 2 rulers are awesome and just the right thickness.

Used this to make mitered corners on my placements. I like making the backing big enough to wrap. This ruler makes it easy. You can iron it but it gets very hot.

These are great. Very thin so you end up with a true measurement. I found that while they get hot, its only on the edge you ironed. You don't have to iron the whole ruler just the edge. You can then reposition the ruler holding the other edge. I think these are great. I have tried homemade cardboard ones (what a hassle) and regular rulers (too thick). I highly recommend. I am SO glad I ignored the critical reviews. The worst thing was trying to get it out of the packaging. That is one tight cardboard sleeve. LOL
