I got this to replace a light kit that had been installed on the ceiling fan ~10 years before. The hardest part turned out to be getting the old light kit off (eventually took it off in pieces). Installing the new light kit was relatively easy. Directions were clear, not too many steps. The hardest part for me was getting the little screws in place. I think using a magnetic screwdriver might have helped (I dropped screws 3 or 4 times in the process). But once in place, it works and looks great! Oh, one other note: I didn't care for the glass shades that came with the light kit, so I used some other ones. Just a personal preference thing, there was nothing wrong with the provided shades. Also, the package included 3 LED light bulbs, which look great and will last much longer than the non-LED bulbs that were there before. Including the bulbs was one reason I gave 5 stars for "value for money". I'm planning on buying at least one more of these light kits, maybe two, for other ceiling fans in the house.

Light is what I wanted. Size was right, fan was wrong. The fan had a build in light with a mini bulb and small globe so I had to cut off the piece that held the globe with a dremel. End result looks good and fit good. Light is on a dimmer switch which works well with the light. Light comes with wire nuts, screws abdicate bolts to mount it which is easy to do.

We bought 2 matching ceiling fans for the vaulted ceiling in our formal dining room 9 years ago. The light kits that came with them were ... Lousy. Three small compact fluorescent bulbs came with each fan. They were candelabra base bulbs, which means the burn out twice as soon, and cost twice as much to replace. Plus, they don't come in a higher wattage, which we need to light that large room.This light kit is one of the ONLY KITS I FOUND which have the standard MEDIUM BASE instead of that candelabra crap. They installed like a dream, too! I just unscrewed the universal cover they came with, and screwed the new light onto the old cover from the fan. The connector was already there, and just plugged right in! Viola! I can now put in the 23-watt bulbs (equivalent to 100 watts each!) The room is very well lit now, and installation was a breeze, too!

Purchase this thinking that it would fit an existing fan! Unfortunately one size does not fit all other than that it was in good shape. Too bad it didn’t fit

Recently moved into a 1999 house without overhead lights in the living room or master bedroom.(We think maybe Batwoman lived here previously!) Most of the other light kits we had found were ultra-modern and did not suit the our traditional house. I was hesitant to order these for my older ceiling fans (Montecarlo and Concord brands), but the electrician had no problem installing the kits on either fan. One of the globes arrived broken on one kit, which arrived in a slightly damaged package, but we had no problem replacing it with one from the local big box hardware store.

Did not save money buying used. Easily installed until we discover we only had 3 of 12 screws to install the globes. Add $4 and a trip to the hardware store and this was not a great deal.

Glass item Shipped in original package. Box was crushed and bottom of box was wide open. Brought it in the house, broken glass fell on the floor. Positive side easy to return and reorder.

Ok quality product however it was damaged when it arrived. Very inconvenient. They simply deliver in the original box rather than putting it in another stronger box for shipping. Waste of time!
