I had a set of Lisle/Craftsman pliers before this, and in a pinch, PT from O'Reilly and these feel far sturdier/of higher quality and they grip much better as well.You can tell there are some subtle things included into the design of these pliers to make dealing with circlip pliers that much easier, and they definitely work better than my previous sets. Very, very happy with these.

Buddy had some mac tools version of these and I found these on here and was especially looking for these exact ones due to the indent on the tip for the snap ring to sit in. Works like a charm super high quality

I don't know why these flat nose lock/retaining ring pliers seem so much harder to find than the typical round tip snap ring pliers everybody carries. I had to order a pair through my local NAPA. Unfortunately, they didn't have a large enough jaw spread. I found this Wilde pair on Amazon, and it is a much better tool: stronger, wider spread, better feel. See the attached pictures of the comparison between the two pliers. They were exactly what I needed for replacing the retaining rings in the NP241DLD transfer case on my Ram 2500.

I bought these lock ring pliers for use on a few GM automatic Trans i have on the work table. But in a pinch I had to use them in a emergency non recommended use. They worked flawlessly. Lesser pliers would have broke. Worth the money I spent on them. Good American craftsmanship. I would recommend.

I bought these because I rebuild a lot of transmissions and was looking for a good set of tip lock ring pliers to replace my worn out ones. I bought these because they were made in the U.S.A. I used them once to remove a snap ring from a Muncie M21 transmission and the tip of the pliers broke off. What a disappointment. The depressions in the tip if these pliers that are made to pilot the nose of the pliers into the tips of the lock ring is not in a good place in my opinion needs to be placed more towards the end if the nose of the pliers. Makes the pliers unwieldy. I was very disappointed in these pliers and don't think I’ll buy this brand again. I returned them and bought a pair if Proto’s on Amazon. Hopefully they are better
