I didn't get to use it, I ended up not needing it but I tried putting this thing together and it feels cheap and doesn't hold together well. No instructions so I may be doing it wrong.

Perfect for beginners to intermediate. The kit comes with several colors of thread which is a HUGE bonus, and for the same price as a stitcher alone. The needle assortment is good, but has like 3 hook pulls that are all the same as far as I can tell. I'm basically only using the threadable needle. There handle is small, so it may be difficult if you have large hands or arthritis but that also makes it easy to store. It's very well constructed. Machined brass or whatever. It will last a lifetime.

I got this one because it came with several needles and it worked great for sewing in a canvas patch to the vinyl window in my pop-up camper!I was a bit disappointed when I received the item. The grip part is made out of 3 thin tubes that fit into each other and get held in place once you screw the whole thing together. But despite the separate pieces , it was sturdy enough once assembled.It took me quite some time to figure out how to do the stiching, but once I realized you had to keep the needle and thread in the same position, I learned which way to thread in the backside so the stich stays in instead of pulling out.I never had a problem with the sticher and it worked great once I got the hang of it. It was always solid and sturdy once assembled.
