Suitable for 3/4 inch d-ring and 3/8 inch winch lines, has 5/8 inch diameter pin and internal snap ring.
Prepare a small inner circlip pliers, remove the circlip, take out the pin, put the rope loop on the shackle mounting bolt, and fix the shackle according to the normal operation.

Installation Description:
1. Prepare a small inner circlip pliers.
2. Use small internal circlip pliers to remove the circlip, take out the pin and put the rope ring on the shackle mount bolt.
3. Align rope loop, shsckle eyelet,and shack mount hole, thread shackle pin through rope loop, shackleeyelet, and shackle mount hole.
4. Secure shackle as per normal operation.

My set up is a Smittybilt winch on a Southern Style Offroad bumper on my 2016 5th Gen 4Runner. i have the X20 winch and I cut the original hook off with an angle grinder and a cut off blade. Took seconds. You will need a snap ring pliers and this installs easy. Looks better and safer than the factory hook.

Great price, easy to install if you have a way of removing the c clip that is in place. I used a sock to install it back in. I have multiple D rings. Another review noted that this product was too wide for their D ring. My two D rings that came with a new bumper did NOT work. However, my older D rings (Same size in description) worked with space, just fine. Maybe took 10 minutes to install. The paint/coating feels like plastic, so not sure what paint was used. I like these better than hooks and highly recommend their use.

It was packaged well when delivered, it’s a 5 minute install if that if you have snap ring pliers. It is painted and scratches easy but it’s on rock crawler so who cares. It’s a good deal. Buy it

Good little number, not too expensive, works the same as fancy name brand thimbles. Used it a few times without issue; if I get another winch with synthetic line, I'll be back to buy another.

This is exactly what I expected for the price it cost. I knew it wasn't going to be anodized based on the reviews I already read.....it fits nicely on my Maverick X3. I would have given it 5 stars, however the width is misrepresented by about a 1/16 of an inch, give or take. It is pictured as being 1.18" wide, and I bought a 1.25" wide D ring to go along with it. Problem is, the D ring does NOT fit over the shackle. The D ring measures at exactly 1.25" as advertised.
