After several uses, I'm pleased to report that these guards deliver on their core promise: they effectively block the wind, maintain a consistent griddle temperature, and indeed shorten cooking times, particularly around the usually tricky edges and corners.The wind guards are crafted from Q235 stainless steel, offering a robust build quality that's both corrosion and oxidation-resistant, making them a durable choice for outdoor cooking environments. The magnetic design is particularly clever, allowing for quick attachment directly to the griddle's base—no tools required. This feature also means that the guards are easy to remove and transport, though I don't know who's transporting their griddle a lot, or these wind guards.However, the product isn't without its flaws. The lack of clear installation instructions was a noticeable oversight. The online product photos showed various installation orientations, which initially led to some confusion. After a bit of trial and error, I determined that placing the three vented pieces on the sides and the two vent pieces at the back provided the best configuration. This setup effectively shielded against wind while accommodating my rear grease cup and even worked with my orange silicone griddle cover.My primary concern lies with the longevity of the magnetic attachments. While they hold well for now, I'm cautious about how they'll stand up over time, especially if they're only glued on.
