Your cart is empty.Winsor & Newton Drawing Inks have been used by illustrators since their introduction in the 1890's, where the main requirement was brilliance of color. Today they are formulated from a series of soluble dyes in a superior shellac solution. These inks can be applied with brush, dip pen or airbrush and are widely used by designers, calligraphers and artists as well as illustrators. All colors in the Winsor & Newton line of Drawing Inks are fully intermixable and they are easily diluted (with distilled water). Fast drying and water resistant, they have excellent adhesion on most surfaces.

It works quite well, dries fast, waterproof, very dark. I just spilled a little though but that’s my fault. It’s very small, but works well.

Winsor Newton India ink is a staple in the comic art community. It’s up there with Speedball and a lot of inkers love it. This my first time using it, but I knew it would be good. I used it with Strathmore 300 and immediately got a rich dark and black. With a dip pen the ink doesn’t always flow as well as Carbon black, Ultradraw and other thinner inks, but if you’re a brush inker, this one’s for you. In the dip pen, after it stopped flowing, I dipped it quickly in some water and it worked well, but it worked best with my Silver Black Velvet 1 script brush and a generic 0 round artist brush. It does say on the back to thin it with water if needed. It also dries quickly and appears to be waterproof so it’s good with inkwash. I got this because Amazon had a crazy deal for $2.30 a bottle. This ink works fine, but as you can see in the image, it is sticking to my dip pen. From my understanding, it is not supposed to do that. I read the description and this did appear to be an inkwell for dip pens, so did I do something wrong?This is less of a bad review, I guess I should have written this as a question.

Please excuse the fact I’m too lazy to rotate the image, but yeah. I got two inks: the black and cobalt, they seem great to use! Although the black one did leak..a little while arriving, it still works. I think the way it wasn’t closed properly makes the ink dry faster on my pen nips now so the cobalt one has been better quality. But pretty nice inks overall.Update: After using it for about a month, I notice that the black dried onto the my dip pen tips a lot quicker than the other bottle of ink I brought along with the black. I can’t get the ink off with just water, I need to use alcohol prep pads to do so.I can only guess that is because the black wasn’t sealed properly and was exposed to air for a longer period of time and thus dried faster.

Product verpakt in envelop, zonder extra bescherming. Potje had gelekt in het doosje, waardoor ik het alleen openkreeg door het los te scheuren. Vraag mij af of het potje niet eerder al geopend is geweest. Inkt zat ook helemaal vastgekoekt over het hele potje heen.

La tinta negra cubre muy bien, aún no sé si se corra al aplicar acuarelas. Usé plumones de alcohol y se mancha un poco si los pasas por encima de la tinta pero es lo lógico, en general me pareció muy buena y cubre muy bien.

Ich brauchte die Tinte für meine Uni, weil wir mit Tinte und und so Bambusfüllern gemalt haben. Ich finde die Tinte hat eine gute Qualität ist sehr deckend und man kann mit ihr gut malen. Außerdem finde ich Preisleistung der angemessen, da die Tinte nicht viel gekostet hat und trotzdem gut ist. Deshalb würde ich sie weiterempfehlen.
