So far I am very impressed and very happy with this unit. Construction is very nice with an all metal body, solidly built and only 1 moving part (power button). I think these will stand up to daily use and plenty of drops. Unfortunately, the antennas are lightweight and plastic. They wont break if dropped, but can snap off potentially, though this is just reality, not a defect. Other more expensive units have antennas on bendable shafts which will move rather than snap. No big deal in my opinion, however. They use standard NPF batteries and the single display on the back is easy to understand.Lets talk about the elephant in the room. This appears to be a knockoff of the Hollyland Mars system. They are so similar that I wouldnt be surprised if they came out of the same factory. Hollyland is a solid brand with a good rep, BovBox is a newcomer in my opinion. Surprisingly, the BovBox is actually more expensive than the H-land unit. Moving on, I have not done any real world testing, where systems are strained and gear is all working at the end of their abilities. I only wanted to make sure this worked as promised and there were no problems or frustrations. My test was to hook the parts to a camera and a monitor. In my case, a Blackmagic cinema camera. Unfortunately, the output on my camera is only 1080 so thats how I tested it. I connected the TX and then powered it up, then I connected the RX and powered it up. They didnt connect. After trying to decipher what the pamphlet/manual said, I decided to power each unit up and wait to for a connection indicator. Once that happened, I connected the source and monitor and everything worked perfectly. I walked about 100' away (and through a good number of walls and one floor and I had a solid signal the entire time. No dropouts, no sparkles no disconnections. Further testing should include connecting to a switcher and ensuring that the signal is standard. Other wireless systems dont always play nice with switchers, especially switchers from Blackmagic. One nice feature that the manual describes is the ability to pair the TX with multiple RX and that is fantastic for shoots where clients, and the director each need their own monitors. I have not tested this because I only have a single set.Operationally the unit is solid. Manufacturing seems good. I think value might be a little questionable compared to the competitor, but if you needed a wireless feed on a commercial set to feed video village I would not hesitate to recommend this set at this point.

If you’re looking for a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver that delivers on its promises, BovBox has knocked it out of the park! This device is an absolute game-changer, especially for anyone tired of juggling cables and clutter. What I Loved:True 4K and Stable 1080p: The 4K30fps input/output is crystal clear, but what really blew me away was the super stable 1080p experience with minimal latency. Perfect for presentations and streaming without a hiccup!Plug & Play Simplicity: No rocket science here. Straight out of the box, it’s paired and ready to go. Just plug it in, and boom, you’re wirelessly transmitting like a pro.Dual-Band Magic: The 5GHz dual antenna ensures a strong, reliable connection even over long distances. No dropouts, just uninterrupted brilliance.AMS Interface = Audio Bliss: The AMS interface adds a whole new layer of functionality. Talk about an immersive experience!Power Anywhere: The flexibility in powering this device is incredible – adapters, power banks, batteries, or even USB-C. It’s like they’ve thought of every scenario. Plus, the low-battery indicator is a lifesaver.Multiple Broadcast: 1TX to 4RXs, Need to broadcast to multiple receivers? No problem! This feature is a gem for collaborative presentations or events.Carrying Case Included: The sleek carrying case is perfect for on-the-go professionals.Final Thoughts:This isn’t just a transmitter and receiver – it’s a versatile tool that adapts to your needs. This has been great for reducing wire clutter in my photo setups. Most of the time, when I set up for photo shoots, it’s in the tight space of an office. I like setting up a secondary monitor so my clients can see what’s going on during the shoot. However, that usually means more wires—more things to trip on and mess things up. This device has made it possible to set up my secondary monitor completely wire-free. It’s been a game changer in that department! I’m able to move the monitor wherever it’s needed without any worries, and my clients love it as well. I haven’t had a chance to test out its range since all my shoots have been in close quarters, but the set comes with plenty of options for other hookups. In my case, it’s always HDMI. There’s very minimal lag—so little that it’s barely noticeable unless you’re really looking for it. The picture quality is amazing, and the build quality feels solid and durable. Only time will tell how well it holds up. My only complaint is the price—it’s a bit expensive compared to other brands. Not a huge dealbreaker for me, but it’s something to consider.

These are interesting similar to another major brand 4K transmitters at around the same price, but where that other brand has an OLED screen and a reset button. These have an orange metal 1cm metal plate and a hole for the reset. I confirmed what I first thought was a defect, that it will only accept 1080P on the SDI side, It will accept and transmit 4K on the HDMI side, but if your camera only has 4K out on SDI and not HDMI like many prosumer cameras do, you're going to need to decide on getting another box or settle on 1080p for SDI.Transmission quality was excellent and I measured 12Mbs on the 4K side. Obviously less than uncompressed, but if using for a monitor, it's going to be fine. These even have the same case as another brand on here as well. I give them 5 stars for quality, battery like when using battery, and size.I do wish they had the OLED screen showing the channel like the twin sister brand they were made from, but function win over form for me.
