As a world traveler I want shorts that are: long enough to protect from sunburn and to be respectful of other cultures; easy to hand wash and quickly line dry; lightweight and very packable; wrinkle resistant; comfortable; dark colored so unlikely to show stains and to match many different shirts; pickpocket safe with zipper front pockets; non chaffing; styled so I look inconspicuous (many shorts can be too revealing or else clown like) and resilient/long lasting. I haven’t had the shorts long enough to comment on their durability but omg thus far they check all the boxes and are fabulous. The legs are a bit wide but many women have big thighs so I understand it…. Plus being a bit wide makes them breathable in hot humid weather. The 7 inch length is great although I would have preferred 8 inches even though I’m petite. I noticed at least one review mentioned Velcro back pockets which I would not have wanted because Velcro is a pain for traveling. Fortunately these shorts do not have back pockets (amen!). I will likely buy more for myself and my daughters.

I purchased these shorts to wear to Disney and I absolutely loved them. You cannot go wrong with them. They are long enough so that you don’t run into thigh chafing or showing your booty to the world. These are a great find for midsize women. The pockets also come in hand if you are trying to avoid carrying a bag all day. They hold up well in the wash and they have the feel of most athletic quick dry wear. Very comfortable and overall love the style. I purchased a few and highly recommend!

I bought these for hiking in a very hot climate and I think they will be perfect. The weight is light and there are six pockets, four are zippered. My only complaint is the medium fits like a small in the waist and a large in the legs, so a little on the generous side

What drew me to this pair of shorts was the two front zippered pockets, drawstring elastic waistband, and inseam length. It does have two velcro pockets in the back as well. The zippered pockets came really handy when hiking because I didn't have to worry about losing my phone. I purchased the dark blue one and it didn't show my sweat and dried quickly when I got stuck in the rain. I am about 5ft 3in and the waistband comes right up to my bellybutton, so it looks flattering for my height. It's lightweight and breezy and doesn't make "swishy" sounds when walking. I reach for these shorts even for lounging because of how comfortable they are to wear.

I’m not a hiker or workout enthusiast. I’m a baseball mom who lives in Texas which feels like the face of the sun. I spend a lot of time melting in the heat, and I sweat through my clothes pretty quickly. These shorts are fabulous. They do not show sweat. These shorts could be totally soaked and no one would know. They dry very quickly. They are lightweight and super comfortable. I bought my first pair and was so pleased that I purchased two more pairs in different colors. I have other baseball moms buying them now because of how great they are. The zippers are nice too.UPDATE: The zipper broke off one of the pockets from my light gray pair. I wash them on delicate and hang them to dry. Does it mean I can't wear the shorts? No, but it stinks. Now how am I going to keep from losing the contents of my pocket? I really wanted to LOVE LOVE these shorts. Now, I just LOVE them. I wish there was a way to get them replaced because these are that good.

I have had these just over a month and worn them a handful of times for walking and hiking and the seam on the groin area is coming undone. Otherwise they have been great!
