Nice and heavy and beefy, good size and super price, decent level of finish, nyloc nuts for the win. I think bright yellow if I get around to it. Came disassembled packed tight yay in a small box like it came from the other side of the planet. Anything to help with dragging trees around.

These are a god-send if you do any sort of work with timber, such as for processing trees into firewood. You can move logs and lift "rounds" (logs cut to firewood length, but not yet split) without having to bend so far to the ground. Most people do so by bending at the waist, which can easily lead to back injury. Bending at the knee is much safer, but still a lot of work. Best of all is if you barely have to bend at all! I'd give this 5 stars, but they required one modification to make them work as well as possible. As they are shipped, you assemble with painted metal moving against painted metal; not ideal. So I added some nylon washers between the painted parts so that they would move easily and not destroy the protective paint surface. Required getting some longer bolts, but well worth the easy modification. I bought a log-splitter on Amazon as well and enjoy creating custom size firewood for my wood stove using these!

I purchased these because I can no longer bend over to pick up fireplace logs that are on the ground after I cut them. They work well on logs up to 9 inch diameter. Competitive price. Easy to assemble.

Wish i'd bought these years ago, you do have to put them together and then adjust the bolts to where it moves easily but not sloppy. i put locktite on the nuts to keep them from moving. I bought the 18 and 12 inch ones. they will open up more than what they advertise. i carried all those chunks to the truck using them. didn't have to bend over. They are well made and should last a lifetime.

I expected them to be only 12 inches long and they were much longer than that which the jaw ends up being wider and difficult pull wood with such a large pair

After an easy 5 minute assembly, this tool saved my back today working a log pile with my splitter.My only modification was to scuff up the nice, slick handle with a file for a better grip with gloves.I highly recommend these tongs. If you handle logs up to 13"-14" inches down to 5" these will save you a lot of energy and bending over.Five stars

Very well made, bolts could be upgraded to stronger ones perhaps but all in all a back saver for sure. I would buy this tool again.

The pivot bolts they Supply are so short that the nut cannot go on all the way and lock into the nylon collar on the nut. So every time you go to use it the nuts work loose and it falls apart.
