I love this drum, great sound. Unfortunately I bought it for a young one who still sticks things in his mouth. We caught him but he was going to chew and tear off the soft form bottoms of the drumstick.Great item for children outside of the teething and the tasting everything stage.

This drum has held up to my son’s heavy duty drumming since we got it for him many months ago. He bangs it with wood sticks, plastic drum sticks, his bare hands, toy cars, mega blocks, etc. The drum sound is great, especially if he sits it on the ground to hit!The sticks included were sort of a fail. The foam balls on the tips were just way too loose, so we chucked them rather than risk a choking incident for him or our toy-chewing dog.The maracas are just that: maracas. He gets into them, too. Oh, and he also bangs the drum with the maracas. It really is durable!
