It's important to mention that this is a very nice yarn bowl. It is long and it is tall. It's will hold a lot more yarn than the 4" tall one. It has a total of 5 holes. 3 on the end, 2 on the side, plus the spot where you can wind another skein of yarn through. All the holes seemed to be smooth. It was a gift to my daughter and she was overjoyed with it! For the convenience and and the function it offers the knitter, it is well worth the money.

The craftsmanship was mediocre at best. Some areas were not finished with the varnish. The wood was rough along some of the edges. The photo showed that it came with crochet hooks which were not included. At least it was on sale! On the positive side, it is quite large and will hold yarn and a project. I like the color.

I loved the first one of these that I purchased so much that I turned around and purchased a second one, this time in the plain dark brown wood.Large enough to hold lots of knitting tools or a fair size project still on the needles, these have replaced all my small round yarn bowls. Thank you for making such an excellent product!
