I collect antique woodworking hand tools, I have a Lie Neilson no 71, and many stanley no 71 and 71-1/2 router planes, this is a bargain. It's not the same quality as fhe Lie Nielson, or the Stanley's. But a good value.

Wanted a constant depth of cut on a wood project I was working on. Was using a chisel to cut a channel in a curved piece of alder. Used a depth gauge to try to make the depth uniform. Tried a powered router but it was difficult to control. Finally stumbled across this tool and it worked perfect. Sharp right out of the box.
