This is a great wort chiller and with the wider copper tubing you have more surface area to exchange heat with cold!I run this setup with a cooler filled of ice from a ~20lb bag of ice. Add in the water and place a pump in one end of the cooler. Run one end of the tubing to the pump and the other end of the tubing, where the hotter water comes from the chiller, to the opposite end of the cooler. The setup circulates the cold water in the cooler and you can cool wort in ~10 minutes.....To me, this setup is worth all the time and hassle of other methods and saves on wasting water. I don't think you can cool wort any quicker! The size of this chiller and its diameter in tubing, it is well worth the money!

This cooler works very well, but I had to go out and purchase the hose and clamps required to connect this to my garden hose. I was under the impression it would be coming with the vinyl tubing and attachments, unsure if it was just a mistake or what. Either way I'm planning to go get sharkbite adapters and hose that's meant for very hot water myself, and probably would have done that anyways even if it did come with the vinyl hose.It's worth mentioning here that this is NOT 1/2" copper tubing as advertised, the one I received is 3/8". I'm super disappointed by that, will think twice beforing ordering anything else.Seller, did you send the wrong one?!
